I'm confused on the harness not plugging into the switch. The socket doesn't match the spades on the back of the switch?

Clocking is on the switch plate and that determines the final park position of the wiper arms. A, B, C, etc.

Correct, your low speed runs through the resistor, high speed does not

On the connections soldered to the switch plate/gear housing cover. Two greens go together blue on the other connection. Doesn't matter which side you solder to, just matters that the two greens are soldered on the same side and blue by itself

I was about to chime in about ground myself. Seems to be an issue with the Ron Francis switch but I have asked a friend who restores switches to come post because he and I together have worked on this RF stuff

Hyper drive? Ground to the switch. Run an extra lead from the switch to say the door jamb or somewhere you have good ground and try the motor again. More often than not the issue when a motor is in hyperdrive is a bad ground to the switch. Not parking in the correct position? Check to see...
