    Charger Heater Control question

Hey guys, First I apologize for this not being an A body, but an LX charger 09'. I have posted on the charger forum, with little help. FABO is the smart guys that help if you ask me.. Cut to point. I am putting an Ipad in my chargers dash, heater controls are in the way. Rather then relocate...

    2009 Charger AC/Heater control question

Hmmmm.... I gotta believe there is a way to make this work (aside from the ipad programming part, so unrelated). My thinking is, if I can just figure out how exactly the heater/ac control knobs work, I can put something in its place. kind of like a "man in the middle", make that device send the...

    2009 Charger AC/Heater control question

Ok, first I know its not an A body, but rather then create a new account on a charger forum and you guys are hella smart. SO, 2009 charger has manually knobs to control the AC and heater, yet the manual knobs connect to an electrical harness, so there is no cable linkage. My question is, how...

What is this type of car called?

Ha, ya I live in Colorado. Would limit days I could drive it, to say the least. Colorado weather likes to be unpredictable, could be 90 with clear skies, 5 minutes later 20 with a blizzard. But this car won't be driven much anyway.

What is this type of car called?

Thanks guys, Dare, ya I to realize that the roof and doors provide the strength. However, if you put in s subframe and tie it all together nice and tight, Would that not allow this? Honestly, I tried to shave the drip rails and I am not to happy with how It looks, so that's why I'm considering...

What is this type of car called?

Hey guys. I'm debating on something my dad keeps suggesting I do with the dart. He thinks I should cut the roof entirely off, leaving only the windshield. No other roof, pillars in back, nothing. No convertible or top of any kind. He keeps calling it a "California cruiser " But I can't...

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

This this is going to be my best option right now. Its the mopar version for swaps, has the electronics and computer, and a cable throttle assembly. I figure cost of rebuilding, plus trying to buy the electronics....and we are at the same cost. least this has a warrantee and all that jazz. P5155067

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

Maybe I should quit trying to modernize the car, stick w a nice carb v8. I do still want manual tranny, decent electronics, remote start. I have an 09' charger, do I really want a 73' that drives the same? These cars were fine how they were made, we like them for the nostalgia... Plus, carb...

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

YouTube just saved me a grip of cash and work. I love the viper, and want to see it under my hood. But that exhaust is so god awful. I want the throaty v8 sound. I do have a 360 block. I do have a hemi 5.7 (block now...see pics above) And I do have a 318(seized but can be torn apart) Guess I...

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

Thanks cuda, appreciate the input and info. You really think it would be that hard? Obviously me asking shows you where I am at in the "design stage", but looking at it. I can see the firewall will have to be removed and modified...I was going to put the 6 speed manual tranny it in anyway, so...

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

So, I am thinking here...back to my first dream engine w the dart. I'm thinking cost to rebuild the hemi, getting it where I want, plus the $2000 in electronics to run it....would be pretty substantial. I still need to buy the 6speed tranny, bell housing adapter. I found a company that will...

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

Green, im kinda thinkin that too. I would have to use just the block, buy the rest and machine work, electronics. Now I am at a cross road. Hemi? or not. if Hemi, where? what is to say a junkyard one won't be the same condition? New ones are freaking outrageous priced. If I don't go hemi, then...

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to do. 1. Dissabemble, machine work (bore), new internals? + $2000 in hotwire electronics 2. Get a block (cost alot btw) from something like jegs, then build? + electroncs 3. Step 1 + moparperformance conversion kit? 4. Step 2 + moparperformance...

Tearing apart hemi 5.7, machine work worth it?

So, you paid $200 for a 5.7 that physically turns over. Told by seller it had "a tick", no electronics yet to fire it, told it did run fine though. From what little you can see, valve train move and cylinders look good. Bottom end not looked at yet. With heads off you decide "gonna just do...

    Spring Relocation without mini tub...

On my 73 dart, I think im gonna run a lynx rear end kit and a mini tub. I want some wider rear tires, but still want to be able to drive it on the street. I am a little worried about exaust though, do i have room? I will be replacing the fuuel tank to a fuel cell (like the way it looks), plus I...
