Yep, that's the problem. But then, what is the market? Anyone who wants AACA stock uses full wheel covers and everyone else has gone to non-steal stamped.

Does anyone know where I can obtain 4 trim rings for the stock 1964 13" Valiant wheels? I've been running for decades with baby moons and would like to get accompanying rings if I can find any at a reasonable price.

Wanted: A cheap steering wheel that will fit a 64-65 Valiant/Barracuda. Looks/condition are unimportant as long as it will screw on to the shaft and turn the wheels, as I only need it so the car can be moved while I am getting the original wheel re-"wood grained".

The manual for my 273 states that the power steering fluid level should be at the bottom of the filler neck when cold. Does that mean just above the mechanical parts?

The 1965 came with open lug nut wheel covers. The lugs were about 1-1/2" long, looking like the picture. Chrysler at the time used left and right thread lugs, the left lugs were stamped "LL' while the right lugs were unmarked.

Does it have the approx 1" "chromed open wheel hubcap lug nuts? I can use several "LL" (left hand thread) nuts.

That looks like a really nice car. Get the engine running and clean up the engine compartment. Such nice "A"-bodies are rare. If you cut it up you will be sorry later. Leave the dragsters to the "E"-body owners, and those who have the "rat-rod" bodied versions. After a show, few will remember...

A lot changes when you get married and have a house. 10 years is a long time to put into a project car. Unless you think you'll enjoy is more as a continuous project, let someone else finish it and enjoy it on the road. This hobby is about running the cars, not feelings of guilt.

So what else is there to say? Life's a *****, and then you die. I haven't been to Carlisle. Did you complain to them there? When I started on my restoration they didn't even have repro covers in the color I needed. For years I had a two-tone interior.

I ordered almost an entire interior for my Barracuda from them about 8 years ago, with no unreasonable lead time. I think they are "made to order", since maintaining a stock of pre-made covers in all the color combinations makes no business sense, but still 196 days seems excessively long...

No offense taken. It has been a long, long time since I navigated the parts manual. But the actual P/N does not specify which side is "even" and which side is "odd", and I could find neither stamped on the parts, only an "M 24" and an "M 35", and neither is an actual P/N.

Are the part numbers on the regulators? The parts book only lists 23-39-5 I would have thought so. One has an M24 stamped on an arm and the other has an M35. I can not find an actual part number. Otherwise they look identical. Any way to tell which side is "even" and which is "odd"?
