    Kickdown apply lever

My gut feeling has been too few springs in front clutch. I don't know if I want to dig that deep if....if a lever change might do it. Seems like here may be a few ways to correct or improve the condition. Thanks folks.

    Kickdown apply lever

Tranny builder is very good. As I said, it has been many years since this project got going. I have been around the builder for many years. He is very respected. Most likely the input I gave him on what I thought I would use the car for has as much to do with the way it is set up...

    Kickdown apply lever

I did not do the install. Local transmission shop handled it. I am going to see if he kept notes on it but, it was many years ago. If C-bodies use the low ratios I will assume he changed the lever. Car shifts great at WOT, but walkin' through town it clunks badly. I reckon I will have to...

    Kickdown apply lever

Trying, like many I have read here, to remove a 2-3 shift overlap in a 727 that had a kit put in it years ago. The tranny was originally from a C-body after the introduction of the partial downshift. Used this tranny to possibly add a GVod someday in place of the original 65 cable shift...

    Legendary Interior Problems

I happen to work in a small company that specializes in a different car brand. I have to agree with much of what RedFish has said. I also know the headaches of trying to keep a certain amount of inventory in stock. Keeping ten of everything you sell on the shelf is not feasible in a lot of...

    Steering link/oil pan clearance

Sweet, figured if V8 might be in the future link would be the cure. Now, to find one. Anybody ever made their own? Seems like welding a drop would not be out of the question. Measure, measure again, cut, measure again, weld in pipe, measure again. Am I missing something here? Thanks

    Steering link/oil pan clearance

Looking at a 64 Dart 270. Once upon a time the /6 was changed to a later 74 and up motor. Noticed the pan resting on steering link which is well documented on this website. Would the V8 center link with its extra inch drop clear the pan and then be ready for a 273 later? Thanks folks

    Shifty

Looked at a 65 column I have left over from a Coronet. Believe it is the same as A body. The detent is on the column. In 66 and later non-cable shift tranny the detent would be in the tranny, correct?

    Shifty

By poking around this sight a little I was starting to suspect some bad things about steering columns. I am going to guess a 66 column is made of "unobtanium." Good to know about the pan. Would pan and pickup through 66 work?

Hello Folks, Trying to work through foreseeable problems. 65 Dart, original column shift. Donor motor and trans is 72 /6 with 904. How do I make it shift? Will 67 column work? Will donor 72 column work? Thanks
