    [SOLD] 1966 Dodge Dart Wagon

I believe it is. I moved it to wash it last weekend. Worked just fine. When I moved my shop about June of last year, I brought the car to my house. That's about 12 miles freeway. Drove fine then too.

My oil burning pig. Pics too!

If your driving it around on the street.more, you may want to unlock your distributor and get a 10* advance bushing. Driving at low rpm with locked out timing isn't good. Low cylinder pressure with increased temp.due to timing can cause preignition type issues. Just a thought. And I am guessing...

My oil burning pig. Pics too!

Bad Sport... Holley 950 HP carbs have ZERO vacuum ports... I don't think there is one for the PCV. Gotta use a spacer plate with a vacuum nipple.

My oil burning pig. Pics too!

Yep as stated a header evacuation system does not work as well as a PCV. BTW, you're right I assumed you had only one PV. On a street driven car, it works better to have 1 even though they come with 2. The 950 HP is designed to run WOT 95% of the time. Being that you aren't, I would change...

My oil burning pig. Pics too!

I love how the web diagnosis has been going on for a LONG time, alot of hot air being blown around, and yet for less than $12 IN parts, you could TRY A PCV SETUP and eliminate this as a variable???? WHAT THE HELL??? So tired of people talking about things and discounting something without...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Just an fyi,you can use the ported constant vacuum source on the carb for the vacuum advance if you want. It does not work as well on cars with power brakes, best on manual brake cars. During hard stops can kill the car . In fact late 50's to early 60's cars came like this from the factory

    amp meter needle is crazy

If you have a wire from the battery post of the alternator going to the ammeter and to the starter relay stud, you are still seeing too much amperage to the ammeter. The bulkhead alone is a shunt that maxes at about 55 amps. Bypass the ammeter and get a voltmeter. I had North Hollywood...

    What stall converter?

Listen to Crackedback.... Best knowledge ever. A simple way to determine what converter is needed, have your stall just about 200 rpm above the beginning powerband of the cam. This is a rough idea but gets you in the ballpark. If your 508 cam was stalling going into gear with the stall...

    Radiator question

Whatever you do, run a thermostat. Anybody who tells you different needs to sit down and read up on cooling systems. Yes, a 3 row is better than what you have. A fan shroud is a must for ALL cooling systems.

I use either Milodon or Mr Gasket 180*. Both are copies of the older Robert Shaw style.

    New engine running HOT

Yes. Research has shown that high volume water pumps can actually increase pressure enough to push a t Stat closed. Plus the quality of Stant and others has diminished over the years. In my hot rod shop, we had countless failures of regular thermostats. Switching saved me a lot of time and money.

    New engine running HOT

160 is too cold. It will most likely stay open, defeating the purpose of a thermostat. It needs to be an open door, closed door EXCHANGE system. Usually airflow at idle, I am running a MP viscous fan, and factory shroud. My rad is a hi efficiency copper/brass core(3/8" on center tubes...
