    Anyone using a 2-row 22" Champion Rad. ?

I guess I'll update here. Installed the radiator, and actually ended up using the crappy chrome Summit fan that was on the car when I bought it. Haven't overheated once since install. It actually keeps the temp almost too low. Probably gonna change out the thermostat soon so I have a working...

How to Install a TransGo TF-3 Manual Valve Body Kit in a A-904

Okay, that's weird. I have given serious thought to doing exactly that! There's an army surplus store down the road from me that has cables that adjust via a knob that you turn that I think would fit the bill nicely. I just wasn't sure if it's a good idea to actively adjust the pressure. If...

Maybe you should wire that lever back. :) Super easy. Takes like, 2 minutes under the car.

Odd electrical gremlin. no start, dim dome light (some times) buzzer comes on and off

So... I got it running. You ready for this 67?... I, uh. Well... I cleaned the terminals and clamps. Now, I did check them and they honestly looked fine to me. No white build up or anything. But they weren't nice and shiny. So I though to myself, "Self, ya know 67dart273 really put a lot of...

So, I got it started by jumping. That definitely points to the battery, doesn't it?

Thanks 67Dart. I'll go down your checklist after I have the battery tested and report back!

Odd electrical gremlin. no start, dim dome light (some times) buzzer comes on and off

Thanks for the tip Jos! I'm terrible when it comes to batteries. I thought >12v was good-ish? I've heard about shorted cells but didn't know how to test for them. I think I'll just take the battery in and have them test it. It is a 2+ year old walmart battery so I wouldn't be surprised if it's...

Odd electrical gremlin. no start, dim dome light (some times) buzzer comes on and off

'72 Dart Custom Sedan. Alright, this one is baffling me and I'm not sure where to start looking. Last Monday, I parked my car after coming home from school. I've had no issues that lead up to this. Tuesday morning, I go out to my car and it wouldn't start. The dome light was on, and...

which is better and why forward or reverse pattern mvb

It just boils down to preference. Do you want to pull the shifter toward you to shift up, or do you want to push it away? Would you rather have neutral next to 3rd, or 1st? The reverse schpiel is a non-issue for aftermarket shifters. You're not going to dump it in reverse on accident. I did...

How to Install a TransGo TF-3 Manual Valve Body Kit in a A-904

retroboy: Like badsport said, you can toss the linkages and just wire the kd lever all the way back. I just used some bailing wire. And if you go with an aftermarket shifter, you can do away with the shift linkages too! (I installed a Hurst promatic 2 ratchet shifter) if you do decide to...

Anyone try using the thermo-control that's built into some electric fan shrouds?

Poked around online a bit and it seems that it is a resistor. So I'm thinking I tie this in series with the coil side of the relay so once it heats up enough (and I'm guessing the resistance drops), the relay will flip and turn the fan on. What do y'all think? Also, this fan has two speeds but...

Anyone try using the thermo-control that's built into some electric fan shrouds?

Went out to my local pick-n-pull and grabbed an electric fan. The one I got came out of a '96 Mercury Mystique. I noticed that it has what appears to be a thermostatic coil built into the shroud on the lower driverside corner. Has anybody tried wiring one of these up to control the fan? I'm...

Anyone know how to remove the auto column shift lever?

This has been bugging me ever since I did a manual valve body conversion and installed a Hurst ProMatic shifter. I tried driving out the roll pin at the lever pivot, but was worried about breaking something else by hammering too hard. Anybody know how to remove it? ('72 dart custom sedan)

Thanks for easing my mind a bit Bruce! I'm planning on going fan shopping at pick'n'pull once the radiator gets here and modify it to fit. Don't suppose you've got any pictures of your setup? :)

Damn. Finally get a response literally 1 minute after I placed my order. haha Well I guess I'll be the guinea pig for this one. :-P Thanks for the input anyway mopowers. Anyone using a 2-row 22" Champion Rad. ?

So I busted a hole in the factory radiator the other day. I've needed to replace it for a while but now it's absolutely unavoidable. :P I'm looking at Champion Radiators and the site says their 22" 2-row radiator (EC2374) is good up to 375 hp. I would be surprised if I'm much over 200 (but...

Did I get the wrong fuel pump?

I actually took the first one back because I didn't think it was right. Made them bring out all the other ones listed for my car as well as a few from different years. Only differences were the outlet orientation. I think I was just really hoping it wasn't the eccentric. haha It didn't help...
