    2nd Generation Barracuda Trivia

I bought my first Barracuda in 1979 , I was 18 going 19 . It was a 1969 318 notch back. And that is what it was called back then a notch back. so the term has been around a long time. I also figured it was the look, like previously said , some one took a fastback and cut a notch out of her.

This was the engine compartment on my 65 cuda, I am sure some one will chime in an let you know what they were able to fit under their hoods , there are lots and lots of early a-body owners here with some very nice set ups. I sold mine a couple of years ago now , so not to sure anymore.

    [SOLD] D4B Edelbrock intake manifold

If I remember correctly there is not much room under the hood of a 65 cuda you might be better of with a stock intake. I know it was a tight fit on my 65 cuda.

Anyone have old Direct Connection or Mopar Performance books or articles?

My understanding is , it was used on 426 hemi motors and on some six pack motors , and that it was a racing type crankshaft, being full radius made the crank stronger and less likely to snap at the rod journals. Please note that the drawing is not to scale or 100% accurate. LOL It is...
