    New Edelbrock intake quality issues

Well it didn’t fit… I did a dry fit and it was all good but when I added the gaskets I couldn’t get the bolts started in about half the holes. I was using a slightly thicker gasket .065 vs .060 so I ordered the thinner ones to try next week. Have speedmaster heads and had an intake leak. Had a...

    New Edelbrock intake quality issues

I was afraid the knock off would be worse and most have dual bolt patterns for mounting which I don’t care for. I’m going to use it but will clean it up before installing.

    New Edelbrock intake quality issues

Maybe I’m being picky but sprung for a new air gap and not too impressed. Lots of slag and bumps, holes drilled off center and clean up done upon arrival. Wondering if I should have went knock off and saved some money.

    Intake gasket in coolant?

I think so. The exhaust threads don’t go into the coolant passages on speedmaster heads and my t-stat gasket is rubber/silicone.

    Intake gasket in coolant?

No oil in the coolant and no coolant in oil. Yes, running a t-stat. Haven’t got under the car but is puddling just behind the drivers side wheel. Would be under the starter or master cylinder in relation. I think it’s coming from the front through and blowing back.

    Intake gasket in coolant?

It’s been a while since I’ve been on. Moved, new job, life in general. I just got the car going again and noticed a slight coolant leak up on the top of the intake along the head. Didn’t seem like much but found small puddles on the ground. Pulled the radiator cap to check the level and found...

Dual Plane vs Single Plane Manifold with TBI

I've run the Holley Sniper for a few years with a dual plane with no issues, no center divider modifications either. I have also run it with an open 1 inch spacer on it and did not see any difference in drivability or performance.

Ya' want something REALLY GOOD? What local delicacies do you like in your area?

Looks like thousand island dressing but doesn't taste like it. Every local place seems to have there own house recipe. One of the best is a local wing place that has a habanero fry sauce. So hot you can barely stand it but so good you can't stop eating it.

    Horn problem.

Winner! The cam part of the switch was sitting up off the metal stud instead of flush so the screw was too high and rubbing like you said. Thank you!

    Horn problem.

Yep. Make sense. My contact ring looks the same. I’ll take it apart for the 10th time tomorrow and see if that’s it. Thanks.

    Horn problem.

Where should it go? There wasn’t a spring when I took it apart and it’s worked fine for the 6 years I’ve owned it.

    Horn problem.

Any idea why when I tighten this down the horn stays on? 1968 Dart. It’s a grant steering wheel and adapter and was working fine until I replaced the signal switch. Was working fine after the switch was replaced but I had it off center so pulled it and centered it. Now it’s fine until I tighten...

    No spark

I think it's a combination of the gauge and the wiring through the bulk head. I added a voltage gauge and called it good but you can search and I believe some have modified the amp meter to look stock but have voltage regulator function.

Post your favorite car photo and tell us why

Since car shows were closed down we did cruises. The was one for first responders and healthcare workers appreciation. My daughter is a nurse and my dad was a firefighter so it was special. Cruising with the wife and hound made for a great ride.

    Your first car.

1963 VW Bus Bought it for $500 bucks. I didn't know anything about cars and drove it with some stupid red light flickering on the dash. Was sitting at a light and some guy tells me I'd better put some oil in based off what he could hear. Being a genius teenager, I gave him the F** You and romped...
