Power rear windows in an early Dart?

I did powerwindows in my -64 Dart GT back around 1988. It took som fabrication but worked great. I used the motors from a Volvo 740 (I worked at Volvo at the time). The gear on the volvoparts fits perfectly with the gear in the Dart windows. The electricals took som working but that was because...

replacing full rear quarter panels dart sport

Cut the spotwelds. More work when removing but less work installing. And if you cut at the bodyline it is a lot more welding when installing and if you are new to body work it will be hard to get it good when welding in the panels.

    Folks and cars

The problem goes back to when the haters were young. When they where in their teens they wanted a cool car but daddy said " no way you can park that thing at the house" and because they could not have a cool car noone else can.

    Eastwood body saw

I have a cheap made in china saw that I bought on ebay. Works great if you use quality blades. I´d say this is a requiered tool for working in tight spaces. Some jobs would be possible without this tool but would take a lot longer.

Rust repair. Are this panel good?

http://www.autobodyspecialt.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=MP-502-LH I have found a similar at Goodmark but from several threads here I understand that Goodmark has low quality items. As the items will be shipped halfway around the world I want to buy quality as returning the item...

    F-ing junkie car thieves

If you think your jails is a joke you should see it over here. As an example the money spent on food in jails is more than double per meal for each inmate than the money spent in the schools for lunches for each pupil. This guy will probably not spend one day in jail for this crime. The officer...

    F-ing junkie car thieves

Woke up this morning and went in the kitchen to make breakfast, looking out the window something is missing. My daily driver is gone, just an old chevy pickup, but its MINE. Calling the police there is a half hour wait in the phone so I take the bus to the station. Just when I start to talk to...

Why not post a picture of your "for sale" item

Without pictures you loose potential buyers. If no picture only the person that really need the item will look at the ad. With pictures a lot of people that dont really need it but might buy anyway will look at the ad. The "thats cool I want that" factor is important when selling stuff. It's...

73 dodge dart wont stay running for longer then 10 mintues.

Something is wrong with your carburator. It probably runs as long as the choke is engaged an then dies. By your description I would say it runs way to lean, that is why it will run as long as the choke is engaged.

pulling a slant 6 out without the tranny attached

It is easier to remove tha transmission first and then the engine. It is also a lot easier when installing to put the engine in first and then the transmission. If you are set on leaving the transmission in the car make shure to support the front end of the transmission. In a suitable location...

As usual around here not that many A-bodys, but a lot of other nice Mopars. And a lot of GM and Ford, but I did not bother taking pictures of such second rate things. Six rows of cars each row a mile long (1.6 Km). Unfortunately the wheather was a bit unsteady but most of the day at least not...

Highest Gas Prices in North America

Thats really cheap compared to the gasprice over here. We pay 14,5-15 SEK/litre. Thats 2,2-2,3 US$/litre, that makes it 8,3US$/gallon. Thats for regular (regular over here is 95) If you want premium (98 ) add another 0,80sek/litre. And diesel is about the same price as regular.

    Removing K-frame?

I removed the K-frame in my Dart without removing the t-bars first. Just losened the tension, removed the four bolts holding the k-frame, gave it a few wacks from the rear with a sleadgehammer. The t-bars slided out just fine when the k-frame moved forvard. If you are reuseing the t-bars it...

    Question on MIG welder

I have been useing a Kemppi Kempomat 150 for more than 25 years and never had any trouble with it. It is a 220volt (over here 220 is standard singlephase household current). It is a really good welder but I would go with a 380volt 3-phase if possible. I myself is planning on buying a bigger...

    Annoying sellers

Happened to me several times. The sellers think that if you have taken the time to go see the car you will not go home emptyhanded and you will buy the junk they are selling. Nowdays I always tell them on the phone that no matter what, I will not buy the car if it is not as I was told.

What's wrong with engineers now days?

If cars where easy to work on there would be no money in them. They sell the cars at below cost and then they make up the profit in the aftermarket. Service, parts and everything else. And if you do not use the manufacturer approved parts and shops your warranty is void. If work on a car is...

Also you can not just change the converters. There is different amount of splines on the input shaft in the AT. Up to -67 is small snout, few splines (17 if I remember correctly). -68 and later is big snout, many splines (21 I think)

    Short people

If your car is on its wheels this is no problem. Just tie e piece of rope to a suitably long piece of lumber. Tie both ends so the rope makes a sling. Put the lumber behind the wheels and the ropesling around the milk crate. Works as an anti slip device.
