A buddy brings over this carb for a 2x4 set up . Torn it down for a rebuild and no sec. jets , not even the holes . It appears to have been cast and not machined for the sec. jets . I have never seen a AFB with out sec jets , can't see how the sec barrels would work with out them .Weird the carb...

Can't buy the weights 12.7 oz. is 3/4 of a 1 pound , for a float ??????? . 1 gm is 0.0352 0z.

I have had better luck tuning , by changing the step-up springs . If that fails , I change the jets and metering rods

Qjets came in two basic CFMs 750 and 800 , you have a model M4ME used on Doge trks. 1983 to 1988 - V8 engs. It has the key source elect. choke . Will work well if you have a spread bore intake

When you disassy. the float should have 362 stamped on it . I believe in changing the float when rebuilding a carb. , but , sure its bad ? the O.E. nominal weight is listed at 12.5 gms. If you need them , I have 3 Holley float. 362s in my stash .

Both carb.s take float # Holley 16R362A-3 or Standard / Hygrade FL-93 or Chry 3419668 / 3865008

check the step up springs they control the main metering rods , they are cheap and easy to change

Get the list # off the air horn and order a Holley rebuild kit , it has the O rings you need . I wouldn't use RTV , summit or jegs has the kit you need .

Some numbers I came up with Carter 3682s , 3684s . Holley model 1920 , R-2886 , R-2887 , R-2888 used on both the Dart and Valiant 225 /6

Not carbs, choke thermostats each $40.00 shipped . Check to make sure thats it the right one , length of connecting rod and number of coils . Had them for a long time in a zip lock baggy I have 2 difference types one with a straight connecting rod and the other with a bent 4" connecting rod

checked stock pile for standard # 164 choke stat , got 4 in stock if the connecting rod is 4" $40.00 shipped

while checking the float , check the needle and seat , compare to the old one . got the wrong size once wouldn't allow float to close the fuel off when top was screwed on.

Holley 7855 is a 1975-76 440 eng replacement carb pri jets 62 , sec, jet plate 45 , pri p/v 8.5 , pri nozzle .028 ,sec spring plain . I would change the p/v to a 6.5 and try it . Hope this helps , let us know how you turn out .

I hope he meant the carb was leaking gas not oil , or he has a bigger problem then the carb

Whats the list number on the carb. ? Check the throttle shaft for slop , if its moves side to side or up and down , it will need to be bushed and rebuilt
