I am in the process of installing the rocker moulding in my Dart. Question I have is, does the center push pin of the clip go all the way into the clip to sit flush or does it only go in so far? Thanks for your help

Hello all, I have a 69 Dart with a aar fiberglass cowl hood. Looking for ideas as to how y'all have mounted the hood lip moulding on fiberglass hood. The edge of the hood is a little thicker then a stock hood and am not sure the clips will work. Thanks
