I don't post much, but I should have done a search before I bough a floorpan from them. Of course there are several complaints. The item that I received did not look anything like the part they showed on their website. I was planning on using it as a patch panel but the "strengthening ribs" look...
Looks like they made an adapter to be able to flip the exhaust manifold upside down. Not sure how the spark plug wires are going to like being that close.
1970 Chevelle SS - JY 6.0, T4 S475 turbo - LS1TECH - Camaro and Firebird Forum Discussion
Post 74 has some good info comparing a Borg t4 to GT45 , but the actual photo comparison of the two doesn't show up....
I am seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on the VS 7875. There are a lot of builds on the ls forums and sloppy mechanics has had some good luck with their stuff. It should make more than enough, but you hear about high back pressure with the 75mm turbine and larger cubic inches...
Yeah, I was thinking 3" max or maybe a larger oval pipe. I found another build by junior636 he had a bullseye s475 t4 but ended up selling it before finishing the build. The compressor cover looks different/smaller than the others that I have seen. I need to call them and see what is up with...
Are you talking about doing a "fender exit"? I am wanting to do full exhast with a cut out. I was thinking that I would have better luck snaking a larger exhaust out on the passenger side.
Anybody seen or have pictures of an A body with s475 or s480 mounted similar to 70wayfarer has done on his Ute?
My single turbo Wayfarer Ute build
Looking at his build, i think if I mounted on the passenger of a 71 dart it might clear my alternator on 5.9 magnum. I dont know how similar the ute...
Thinking about trying the borgeson box and magnum manifolds for a turbo build. I havent found anyone that can tell me if the manifold will clear the steering box. I have found people saying it wont work with the power steering pump. That isn't exactly true. If you get the power steering pump and...
I had a hard time finding this information, so I thought I would post it for other users. I lost the cam key after tearing the engine apart. When I started going back together(several months later), none of the local parts store had what I needed. I did find a post about tractor supply having...
No, we are talking a couple of thousands... like the difference in head gasket manufacturers. If I was milling several thousands to gain compression, I would have made sure the shop would have made the correct cut on the intake side.
These are really nice rockers. I had these on an engine that I built and ran for less than 5 hours. I am swapping over to a magnum style head/rocker system and don't need them any more. Asking $450 and free shipping to lower 48. Located in Central Arkansas.
Ran this cam in a 360 that I built. The cam has less than 5 hours run time. I am going a different direction with the build now. Asking $250 OBO plus shipping from central Arkansas.
Voodoo Solid Roller Cam. Good cam for high performance street or mild strip applications. Needs 2500-3000 RPM...
These valve covers are in fair condition. They have been ground around the intake runners to clear an RPM Airgap intake manifold. They have some discoloration and a few scuff and chips of paint missing. Have been sitting on the shelf for a while. $75 OBO plus shipping from Central Arkansas.
These are Procomp heads (Edelbrock knock off heads/was told they are better castings than Edelbrock by MRL). They are off a 360 that I built. They have less than 5 hous run time on them. I am going a different direction, and I don't need them anymore.Heads have dual spings for a solid roller...
These are out of a 360 that I built. They have less than 5 hours run time on them. Going a different direction and I don't need them anymore. All the wheels spin smoothly. Would like to get $350 OBO, free shipping to lower 48. Located in central Arkansas.
Yeah, trying to figure out if the extra 1-3/4" on each side is going to require some major cutting or not. Looks like the 7 qt Milodon requires trimming and the Milodon road race pan requires windage tray, needs clearancing, and cost the most.
Thanks for the replies. I don't have a "budget" but will have either Megasquirt or Holley fuel injection and let it control timing. I will use ARP studs. I am not sure which head gaskets yet. Probably go with a single TC76 or similar turbo. Maybe use a magnum engine front with serpentine belt...
