    Transmission problem?

About a month ago when I put the car in gear (reverse or drive) the whole car vibrates until I take my foot off the brake and accelerate. When in neutral or park it runs fine and only does this when stopped in gear. Also once the car warms up it usually goes away and only happens occasionally...

    8h 600 Mile Roadtrip - Advice

Another thing to check before you go would be your brakes and front wheel bearings. Unless you have done a brake job on the car since you've owned it even if the brakes look good I would make sure the front wheel bearings are greased well. There are plenty of good suggestions here but remember...

[WANTED] Front Sport bench seat bottom springs.

Hi all, A couple months ago I was driving down the road and went through a dip and when my weight came down on the seat I heard a snap and I sunk into the seat even more. Last weekend I finally pulled out the seat and found two of the front to back of frame springs had snapped at the second...

    Brake lines

I picked up a 71 Dart /6 a couple of weeks ago. It hasn't been on the road since 2004. It does run and drive but the brakes are really bad, the fluid in the M/C was brown and nasty. It's a manual all drum brake car that I'm going to keep for now. I all ready bought the M/C and W/Cs and rubber...

New to me 71 Dodge Dart

The Duster won't be jealous it's my daily driver and will always come first when in need. No it's not the original. I was told it was in a accident and the original owners had it almost totally repainted. The engine compartment was not painted the original color is B5 blue. Thanks for the tip...

New to me 71 Dodge Dart

Saturday I picked up a 71 /6 auto Dart. It's going to need some work before it can hit the road but I think I got a good deal for what I paid. It runs and drives but needs a gas tank (good used one included) and all systems checked and gone through mostly the brakes. I popped off the M/C cap and...

    Oil pressure light when idle?

When you had the engine rebuilt did you have a new oil pump put on if not try removing the oil pressure relief valve and clean the spring and plunger. My 73 started doing the same thing and after I cleaned it I haven't had any problems since.

    64 /6 exhaust options

When you get it done go with 2" or 2.25" pipe this will make it breath a little easier and your motor will thank you. Also it will help when you get a 2bbl and electronic ign.

    lowering blocks help!

Flipping the front hanger changes the angle of the rear end and then you will have to shim the axle to get the correct pinion angle in which you will be losing some of your drop. lowering blocks is the way to go but 3" sounds a bit much.

    73 Duster choke help

Because you have a 73 if you don't have all the parts for the EGR system it will not work right. It really doesn't aid in warming up the engine. The /6 is a cold blooded engine and runs better with a good warm up. Your best bet is make sure the choke works one step on gas pedal and high idle...

    73 Duster choke help

It sounds like your describing the EGR valve. A vacuum line would come from the carb to operate it. Find out what carb. you have and get a diagram to tell you which vac. port to use. As for what it does it allows a small amount of exhaust gas back into the intake to reduce combustion chamber...

    Valve lash adjustment

The first time I did mine I took a hour only because I triple checked everything. I did have 4 different valves a little on the tight side and as long as you turn down the rpms as suggested there's no big mess. I'm glad I did it because the engine ran so much better after adjustment.

The Super 6 Six conversion Dart 66 identify?

Basically you have it right. Your bottom bracket is bent it should be flat all the way across this will solve your throttle cable problem. Your also missing the bracket for the carb return spring look at the pic SlantSix64 showed. The two holes on the bottom bracket are for a heat riser to the...
