    Slight miss when cruising

I am running straight pipes from my headers, so I should check the vacuum and back it off from 8.5 and see if the stutter leaves? This is on a 73' vacuum can, if that matters.

Need help on first time rebuild 318!!

Trade up for the 360. I have a 318 and they are nice daily drivers but if you are anything like me you will always think that there could be more motor in the car, if you would have only saved a few more dollars and waited a few more days.

    Slight miss when cruising

I have noticed the same issue at 60-70 mph, I also have the small fuel lines but they are only feeding a 318. I only run premium fuel. Hopefully someone has dealt with this before.

Aftermarket Tach and were to get lighting from

I did try to attempt that, ended up breaking several fuses and every fuse I stuck it in made the light stay on constantly. None of the fuses are labeled, any idea which one is for the lights. Guess I could take each one out at a time and see if the lights will work or not?

Aftermarket Tach and were to get lighting from

I put a small cheap tach on the duster but Im having trouble locating a good place to tie into the lighting so the gauge will be lit at night. It is mounted hanging down from the bottom of the dash beside the hand brake handle. This is not a permanent tach as I will eventually put a new...

    Restrictive Mufflers

I put a set of these on my Tundra, I was very pleased with the sound. It can get loud if you really get on it, but just cruising around you here a nice constant rumble. Tundra is the 5.7L. They are advertised as chambered but if you look down it its a straight pipe, you can not see any of the...

    ESPO leaf springs

I have the Mancini lift springs on my duster, I am thinking of removing the 6th leaf to get the car a little lower, it has to much of the dragster look for me.

73 duster - gas gauge not working

Im ordering the sending unit now but I wanted to know what you guys thought about getting the larger size fuel line choice. Mine is the smaller line but I plan on going with larger motor (360) in the future. Would I run into problems if I got the larger size and then necked it back down...

    1974 Gold duster * BLACK PAINT * !

Mine is a 73 and no sun roof , but everything else is the same. Mine has 120 on the speedometer. The subtle changes in the years are very neat. That's the only other one I have seen with these colors. Is it for sale ( had to ask). we need to race them :finga:.

How much did it cost you?

I was given the duster I have. So no purchase price. I have not done any body work as it is in good condition now with only a few dents and scratches. Interior is fine also, so not touching it. It won 3rd place in its first show last weekend. It had a /6 in it. I do not have time or any of...

73 duster - gas gauge not working

Ill check the ohms while im at it, so with a 73' Im looking for 13.5 ohms? The jegs unit is 40 bucks, I don't mind spending a little more upfront if I can get better results or longer life out of a different unit. Since mine was a /6 car I can pretty much bet on the smaller fuel lines when I...

    Average age of Mopar Maniacs.

Im 28. I only have Toyotas besides the duster. I only got into mopars after so many people would stop and ask to buy my grandfathers duster after he stopped driving it. When I was little I rode in the back seat of the duster I have now while my grandfather drove him, my grandmother, and me to...

73 duster - gas gauge not working

So I took the electrical plug off the tank, put a screw in it and ground it to the brake line. See photo. The gauge moved all the way to full! While I was under the car and had a good grounding position, I took the clamp and hooked it to the tank and reconnected the electrical plug to the...

    ?????? about headers

I have a set on a 73 duster not a dart but close enough. I have a short style oil filter but normal size starter. They do hang down some in my opinion, already have road rash scars on both sides. I raised the front end because of it. The passenger side only is rubbed by the ball joint on...

Out of the Box. Body work.

I own a Tundra and am a member of forum for them. A lot of people on there use it for all different things from rims to bumpers and grills. Its not permanent at all and comes off fairly easy. I used it on some receiver hitches to make them match my truck. It looks good for a little while...

73 duster - gas gauge not working

I got under the dash this weekend, it is all very clean no with no rust and good connections. Everything in the dash is working, speedometer, temp, alternator. That's all the gauges I have. I had a mechanic put a thermal gun on the motor to check the accuracy of the temp gauge and it is dead...

73 duster - gas gauge not working

I cleaned the original grounding strap and the gas lines to where I could see nice shinny metal, the gas hand never moved. I tried grounding it to other places under the car with new clean wire and still nothing. I had a mechanic try to ground it also and never got the hand to move. I also...

73 duster - gas gauge not working

So the little rusty piece should not the connected to any thing else? When you say.. "There should be a small strip on it connecting to the fuel line" You mean a portion of the strap should be rust free and making good contact with the metal fuel line its clamped to? So what I am...

73 duster - gas gauge not working

Alright fellas I got under the car this weekend to look at the sending unit. Im far from a mechanic, so I don't assume much when working on my car. This is what I got... This is on the front of the tank ( encase the orientation is questionable) The small wire is what sends the shows on...

73 duster - gas gauge not working

History - the gas gauge worked when I first got the car running about 6 yrs ago. After the initial restart the car has been sitting in a garage for past 3 yrs not running, while I was at callege. The car has a new motor now and is running great but now the gas gauge is not working. I have...

Leaf springs and what to buy!

I just put a set of Mancini Racing Heavy Duty 1" lift springs on my 73 duster. By looking at the car you can definitely tell its raised some but I like that look also. I have no complaints to speak of yet but I haven't tried a corner at high speeds yet either.
