    Headers

I have eddy heads on mine. Plugs are angled slightly. It’s just that one that’s tough. I do have a few holes thru the passenger side inner fender.

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply. I’ll check out a few of these.

    Switch panel

Does anybody make a switch panel that will fit on the dash over the radio hole. What are you guys using? I like the painless one, but it’s to wide for that spot.

    Headers

Maybe it is #5, the one between tube 1 and 7. I run the wire strait down from the top, over the valve cover. I haven’t burned any boots, I use the heat shield sleeves on that one. Too bad they don’t make a smaller diameter primary tube version of this header. Would be better for the street.

    Headers

Did that, the tough one is #7 on my car. Steering column is right in front of it, under the master cylinder. I can just about reach it from under the car.

    Headers

Good, lowest part is the collector flange, and you can run a normal size front tire. Only drawback is you have to cut the car up. They are close to $1000 uncoated. I put them on a b block, they are made for a RB block. I did have to dent a few tubes that touched the block. Spark plugs a tough to...

    Electric water pump

I’ve been running that set up, for years, works great. I want to update to something with more flow for between rounds cooling. I run the big pulley, helps a little. Does the Meziere use an adapter plate? Can you use the stock lower hose?

What’s the better small block electric water pump?

    Electric water pumps

What’s the best small block electric water pump out there? Meziere (spelling?) Moroso, CSR? Look like they all flow about 35gpm. This is for a race car.

    440 headers and Power steer

Tire clearance is not a problem. Driver side front two tubes go through the fender, passenger side has one that goes through. I have 215/70 14” and they fit fine. I did have to move some brake lines and I made a heat shield for the master cylinder.

    440 headers and Power steer

Parts pro headers will work. 2” dia. You do have to cut the fenderwells with them. Click on my avatar picture. I have a 383 with spool mounts and power steering.

I’m looking for the shocks, is that what you have?

    71 duster 7 1/4 - 8 3/4 conversion

Make sure that’s an a body housing. If it has big bolt pattern axles it may be a b body housing. Should be 43” between the center holes of the spring perches. I believe they use 3” u bolts, but you need the correct 8 3/4 shock plates.

    Driveshaft length

I had a ‘71 Dart GT, 318,904,8 3/4 sway bar, 6 leaf springs. Console, buckets. Neat car, wish I still had it.

340 LA one piece pan gas gasket

Look for pre ‘91 Dakota 318 pan gasket. Should have the same large radius seal as a 340. After ‘91 they all were small radius. But the corners are different than the LA pans.

    Trans Dip stick tip..

It’s a good idea to bolt it in with a locking dip stick. The stock dip stick will just pop out of the tube if the fluid gets overheated. I ran a stock tube for years without it bolted in also. Never a problem.

Aluminum bumper brackets, a new offering

Has anybody disassembled the shocks to see if they can be permanently compressed?

Are steel brackets for ‘75/‘76 Dusters that replace the impact absorbers available? If so could you post pictures or a link to them. Thanks

    Intake manifold gaskets

Dry fitting is great idea, usually the thick cork gaskets are too thick but there is too much gap for silicone. I use 1/8 gasket material and make my own for the ends. Seal them on both sides, trick is getting the manifold in the right place on the first try. That’s why they put the pins in...

    oil filter/ex manifold interference Q

Here are the filters I use, Purolator pure one PL10241 Wix 51348XP There is another one that is small diameter but long, may be for a VW. I don’t know the numbers. You can also cross reference these if you prefer another brand.
  25. gm1236

    oil filter/ex manifold interference Q

There are several small diameter oil filters you can use. As long as the internal thread is the same and the seal is the right diameter they work fine. I ran a 340 in a drag car for years that way. I’ll get some filter numbers for you and post them. I never liked the sharp turns in the right...

    Name this intake…

That is a late la tq or Qj intake, you can tell by the thermostat location. Probably from something 1980 and up. It will work, but you may need a different upper radiator hose.

    Duster floor pans???

Thank you for the reply, I thought maybe it had something to do with a spot for the cat. You are right, it’s long gone. Great info, thanks again.

    Duster floor pans???

What is different between a ‘74 and a ‘75 duster/dart sport floor pan? AMD says their pan only fits 70-74 duster/demon/dart sport. Will their pan work on a ‘75?

    Coolant recovery tank

This is what I’m trying to do. I already have a catch can, looking to keep the system full all the time. I’m not sure if a stock one will fit, I have a large aluminum radiator. Anybody have a picture of a stock one? Where is it mounted?
