    64 barracuda torqueFlite 904 issues

Yep, lol that was what I thought ! I have rebuilt 904s but never a push-button. It really shouldn't be any different inside. I think my cousin just wanted a guaranteed quick fix.

    64 barracuda torqueFlite 904 issues

From what I understand, my cousin recently got the car from a family member after it was sitting for 5 years. Not sure how the transmission was working before it was parked.

    64 barracuda torqueFlite 904 issues

Hi. Im trying to help out my cousin with his 64 barracuda 273 push-button 904 auto . This car is a dog as it starts out in 3rd gear and won't kickdown. If I try to start out in manual low, it won't move- it acts like it's stuck in 2gears at the same time. Kickdown linkage looks fine. I'm not...

    75 Duster vs 71-72

My 1976 duster 904 automatic has 2.45 first and 1.45 second gear ratios, same as the older cars. Wide ratios were not used until 1980 according to my transmission manual.

    Duster console carpet

I am putting a factory console in my 76 duster and just purchased ACC carpet for it. I have read posts here about attaching the carpet with Velcro. Do I use the Velcro to attach the carpet to the console and floor carpet ? Or just attract it to the console ? Where can I get good Velcro? Any...

    Seat slider lever question

Yep, mine is the same too.

    Name those seat sliders!!!

I think they are 75-76 A body tracks. The short track is for the drivers inboard position. The floorpan has a raised hump for the catalytic converter.

76 Duster Front disc wheel stud size

Update- both sets of studs measured .622 to .623 ". I decided to use the Moroso since they had a longer knurled area and quick-start end. I was able to install them by drawing them in with a lug nut. I am using a 5/8 " spacer due to my wheel backspacing but I still had to cut about 1/2 " off...

76 Duster Front disc wheel stud size

Due to wheel and spacer issues, i have to run 3" studs on the front discs of my 76 duster. Confused on the knurl diameter. Classic industries catalog shows .620, but the studs I removed measure .614 to .616. Looking at Moser 8010 or Moroso 46180 at Summit Racing. What fits best ?

    Auto floor console centered ?

I am attempting the same thing, slap-stick Ebody shifter in a duster. But I want to use the Ebody shift indicator. Probably going to fabricate a top plate for the console. Can anyone tell me how tall the rear console bracket is ? It appears to be around 2 3/4 " by the pics.

    Auto floor console centered ?

Thanks for the help, guys. It looks like the gap between the bucket seats and the console will be wider on the passenger side. The console appears to be more to the left side of center on the transmission hump.

    Auto floor console centered ?

I converted my 76 duster from bench to bucket seats and now I am working on the factory floor console. Should it be centered between the bucket seats side-to-side ? Pictures or measurements would be awesome ! Thanks for any help !

    904 factory torque converter ID

    I am replacing my 1977 318 904 with a 1969 318 904 . My 77 318 904 had a torque converter from a slant 6 that stalled at 2600 rpm with my 318. It has a cracked hub, so I can't use it. The 1969 318 904 has an unknown factory style torque converter. I haven't found numbers on any of these...

    Replacing 77 904 with 69 904

I just pulled my leaking 1977 904 trans from my 76 Duster. My plan was to fix the leak and overhaul it. It has a decent shift kit in it and a 5000 rpm governor. Was parked from 1994 to 2018 ! It was leaking from the bell housing area so I assumed it was a pump or converter seal. Well, when I...

    65-67 B body 8 3/4 rear in 76 duster wheel/tire combo.

I like those wheels. I am looking at the torq-thrust style wheels. Are those wheels 8" wide bead to bead, or overall width ? What size tires did you run ? I only have about 4" from the drum to the inside edge of the wheelhouse. Thanks

    Duster stripe color

Hey all. I recently restored my rallye red 76 Duster with parchment colored interior. I need to add a stripe to the car and I am debating between white or black. I kinda want black since I have black wheels, but I am concerned about the light colored parchment interior color. Any pictures or...

    73-76 bucket seat question

Yes I put the tracks on the correct sides. This is a 76 duster with the catalytic converter hump and I am using 75 valiant buckets, so it has the flat track for the drivers inboard. I did swap seat bottoms and the drivers seat inboard bolster is still about 3/4" lower than the rest. Same...
