This is a known issue with the early yukon axles. They were cut shorter than should be so you can install them without removing the thrust buttons. They work fine in an open diff or with a cone type suregrip, but they don't engage far enuff into the clutch type suregrips with the two piece...

If you can see springs its a cone type.

No TTI are not junk. They are considerd by most to be very high quality, but even TTI will usually need some dings to fit a BB a-body.

I always pull them together, easier for me that way.

You would need to find out where the interference is, them grind on the spacer till you have clearence.

you can use a 70 and up a body radiator, or you can swap the front cover, balancer, water pump etc to the 69 and earlier style.

The TTI's wont fit with power steering.

If they have a 1/2" hole there the correct one's, 5/8" hole there the old one's.
