Build sheet says bench but sometime before I purchased someone added buckets and console floorshift.

Looks like the numbers on the short and long buckles for both sides are American Safety 445588 and the retractor number is 445685 but there is no name on the retractor from what I can see.

Same issue with my 318 in my d200, my pulley was a pre '70 which had an offset hole. I ended up finding a post '70 pulley at a local swap meet and the holes all lined up. Problem solved.

What I had explained earlier was maybe the little wings from the previous install didn't get removed from the cap which would make the cap not seal correctly if he used this new style of seal. The pic I provided was a from a rear main on a 70 318LA I did about a month ago.

Even the rope seal had separate little wings that weren't attached to the actual rope, iirc they need to be removed from the cap itself to make room for the wings of the new Fel-Pro style if that's what you picked up.
