    Enclosed trailer/toy hauler advice

I have a 20ft enclosed that ive used for the past 5 years. At the time I was afraid my 1/2 ton truck wouldn't handle much more then that. Should have went with a 24 or 26. That what I'm looking at now. The 20ft does the job for my a body. If I had a bigger car it would be tough.

Sad but it looks like that dream is over. Terris has done a great job with getting Capitol Raceway open again.

Kickdown cable and shifter cable install problems

Putting a lokar kickdown cable on my 65 Barracuda. This is a temporary set up since the car will be getting a manual valve body trans over the winter. My issue is that the cable arm and my aftermarket shifter arm want to be in the same area. Has anyone else run into this? if so what did you do...

What NON-Mopar car do you most regret selling?

My friend had a Torino. It was a very solid 71 Torino GT 351 4barrel Cleveland 4spd Shaker Hood. His was Gold with black interior. You are correct they are pretty rare. I helped him sell it in the late 90's. The guy that bought it said the same thing that he never seen another one. Crazy part...

    My daughter hit a bear

When my daughter was about 4 or 5 I seen something big laying in the road. As we came up on it I was shocked and said "**** that a f**cken dead bear" and of course she repeated " whats a fu**cken dead bear?"

What NON-Mopar car do you most regret selling?

I would want my first car I tagged ( I owned and sold 4 car before I was 16) 1978 Mustang II Cobra. Only because of the sentimental value. I can say that I regretted selling a 1955 Packard Clipper. Such a cool car and it still sits where I unloaded it almost 12 years ago.

    Runner Up Again

Its a basic 340/904 setup. Runs 11.90-12.30's in the 1/4. In the heat that day we were running 7.70-7.80's. I try not to beat on it too hard in the heat.

The nice part about rain out on Friday was not having to pay to race on Sunday.

    Let’s hear a 340 story

Its funny when I have people tell me I'm not running my 340 hard enough. They all know someone who used to bang shift theirs at 8000rpm. I've run mine up to 6800 in real mild weather for a glory timeslip. Most of the time its 5800-6200.

    Runner Up Again

Well, last weekend was fun. Friday we tried to race the Mopar Race at South Mountain. Ended up getting rained out. That wasn't a bad thing since my alternator was dead and we were only running on the battery. Saturday we walked Carlisle. I picked up a couple items and stopped at Autozone for a...

    Keystone Raceway Park this weekend

I remember those old Mopar races at the Mountain. Was there this year and raced, trying to support it. Sadly its been down the past few years and I can't see it being on their schedule anymore. I'm sure the % Carlisle wants has to big. No track owner would turn away the big crowd.

Some of my friends at sell there said they did well this year. I got a couple good deals but I wasn't going for anything specific.

    How's Pennsylvania?

Where did you work in Waynesboro? Was it Frick Company? Just went to Mason Dixon last week. The amount of new construction between Carlisle and the MD/PA line on 81 is crazy. Mostly large warehouses and production plants.

    75-80 Dragway

Wilcom sold the property as of the beginning of the month. That’s straight from the family. They are not involved in the reopening of the track. The track has been leased for 2 years. The lease holders are cleaning the place up now and plan to be racing by the end of July. Looks like No Prep 1/8...

What rear suspension for bracket racing.

Removing the pinion snubber helped me a lot. My car would hit so hard it bounced off the snubber and unload the tire. I was all over the place trying to figure it out. My car is super consistent now. I found SS spring work well they work todays radial drag tires.

    75-80 Dragway

Hope they get the support and everything works out for them. My Dad raced there in the early 60's. He took me there a lot in the 80's and 90's. The first place I raced at. Used to love standing on the fence behind the burnout box. It would be great to show this place to my daughter and make some...

Last go Racing! Getting a 1965 Barracuda ready for the track

No more updates at this time. I pulled my Valiant out fixed the leaky freeze plugs. Give her a tune up and started racing it again. We'll get back on the little barracuda soon.

    Explain your username here --->

Been doing research on my family so my daughter can see our family tree. My Great-Grandfather came to the US from Felsotarkeny Heves Hungary in 1906. I found his immigration records from Ellis Island. He ended up in West Virginia in the coal mines. and I made my user name easy for me to remember.

Last go Racing! Getting a 1965 Barracuda ready for the track

I know it will. When the transmission decided to cooperate the car pulled hard. Half the fun for me is the challenge. Figuring out what’s going to work and making it happen.

A really interesting ratchet strap test video

Had a set of cheap yellow ones break on me before. Super cold day, trailer had ice on it. The car was a manual shift and low compression. No emergency brake. Its not fun to see you car sitting in the street after it slid off the trailer.

Last go Racing! Getting a 1965 Barracuda ready for the track

Well we made to the track on Sunday. Wasn't great and I have a good bit of work to do. I did manage to make first past the first round of racing. Car suffered from being super lean and a transmission that have a mind of its own. The best 1/8 mile pass was 10.20 @ 79. My MANDRA club members did...
