No! The lower the front of the bar moves the canter of gravity forward making the front lighter. as you raise the front of the bar you move your axis further back giving you more weight on the front.

The lower you move the front of the ladder bars the harder the hit. you still need to adjust the pinion but its not to bad it you have top double adjusters.

Mine was new also. I run e85 so I don't know if the alcohol that's in the oil ate the gasket or what happened but the gasket was flaking off bad. lots of oil leaking.

Has anyone ran he Jegs windage tray with the built on gasket part #555-502001. I put one in and all the gasket is pealing off leaking. just wondering ?

I vote ladder bar,big tire for ease of use and hook on bad tracks. build a good foundation and go from there. And don't be scared to run a 9" you can set one up cheeper than a 60 or 83/4

I run milwakee jacks at the shop they are heavy but work great. We have went through 4 napa jacks and 2 sears before spending the money.

Yes I'm using aspirators. But Im not sure if the breathers are baffled I will have to look I bought the evac kit from jegs I will look at the breathers when I get home tonight. Again thanks for the help.

So here is the question. I just built a 499 and ave about 25 passes on the motor and the pan gasket started to leak. i have the breathers hooked up to the exhaust. Just wondering if anybody has had a problum with the baffels in the valve covers being to close and not letting the evap system...

I hooked mine up before the block on the 74 woorks great and after on the 69 but it seems to blead off (it could be getting weak)

We install lots of them at the shop most le (airlift). They work well.You can set them up a couple ways too. (comperssors) the only thing if you have a goose neck hitch in it make sure you get the right one.
