I’m glad he came around! It’s a sharp truck. I remember my dad had to convince me of the same thing when I got my first truck. I wanted to lift it and glue/tape every cheesy auto zone accessory onto that thing...he convinced me to just throw some nice tires on it and drive. Man I’m glad he did...

I’ve heard it both ways, up or down. I personally go fat cap down because that’s where my heat is coming from on my particular smoker, and like you, figured it protects the meat more down there...but I’m no brisket expert by any means. They do taste good when I’m done though!

I work at a landfill as well and I’d say over half my tools came out of “the trash” at work!

Love the project and all your videos you do for us “newbies”. They’ve all been super helpful to me at one time or another. I'm just getting into my first Dodge truck! Its a 79 D400 with a 360 and 4speed np435. Definitely more than I NEED, but I've got a feeling I'll grow into it haha.

They cancelled my order last time as well, so I got it from summit for almost double. Ordered some to have for next time! Thanks for the heads up!

p-s-t.com has rubber and poly bushings I believe. Plus they are a site vendor and FABO members get a 10% discount on orders over $200 iirc. I haven't ordered any personally, but intend to in the future and it seems like everyone else on here has been happy with their stuff from PST.
