Yeah the 904 is really bad. Tried to suck the check balls through the valve body, rear servo piston was destroyed, and I believe the rear pump is shot. I’m going to an auto restoration school so really shouldn’t be that hard with the resources I have to do the 5 speed swap.

I would totally do 833 but I can’t find them anywhere! I also know that it will be really pricey to do the 833 conversion. So the flywheel from the Dakota v6 will work on the 273? There are no weights on it?

Would a Chrysler 8.25 out of a Cherokee fit?

For me on my 65 it was the neutral safety switch leaking right out the middle of it

So here's what I found. Original starter that was rebuilt fried, new starter was bad, had it tested and watched fireworks... Got another one had them test and it was good... Battery was tested and was fine all connections were good too... Just didn't think a brand new starter would be bad...

looking to get a higher stall torque converter for my barracuda.. 273 milled heads 30 over comp 270s solid cam split duration torker intake. It has 1965 forged crank with rebuilt original torque converter and 904, has stage 2 shift kit... car does not get off the line at all, ive been looking...

i think that your torque converter could be a high stall set maybe at 6000 rpm

I have a 1965 273 commando intake that i just pulled of my 65 barracuda. Im lookin to get 300 out of it.

Also just added up that I've added about 4 quarts of oil to it

Another bit of info, pulled spark plug and there is about a 10th of an inch of oil in one if the valve reliefs on cylinder #4
