I have a 73 swinger w/318, I have went through three coils in less than a year. They go with no real way of knowing it just happens, is their a reason why. It is an aftermarket oem type coil, nothing fancy, just lifetime warranty. any suggestions would be great.:banghead:

I agree with him. I would start at the battery and see where the voltage ends. it could be that a wire is grounding out somewhere on the bulkhead or elsewhere. remember the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid) and you will be fine, its not like its computer controlled and a sensor wont let the...

I guess if anything I would start at the switch and make sure you have voltage going to the lamps. if you do then go to the lamp connection and see if there is voltage their, if not them backtrack through the wiring to find the short.

Hi just wondering if I have to loosen my torsion bars to remove upper and lower ball joints on a 73 swinger. This is my first time working with torsion bar suspension and was wondering if I had to loosen them or not. Thanks for the info.:cheers:
