1966 Factory V8 Valiant Signet Restoration For My Other Daughter

Was the purpose of putting it in the oven to cure it, or see if more cracks would appear? I've seen a few people restore VW steering wheels, but I don't think any of them backed them. Jay

1966 Factory V8 Valiant Signet Restoration For My Other Daughter

Kinda reminds me of a lowrider with a high lockup in this picture. lol You should have started a Youtube channel 3 cars ago, you'd have 200k subscribers easy! Great work!

1963 Dodge Dart 270 Convertible for the Wife

We've had several similar issues with shipping once it hits Detroit. I live near Flint, and once packages hit Detroit, they are usually out for delivery within 2 days. Lately, progress will be good until it hits Detroit where it will typically sit for a week before it moves on. I ordered a tool...

    70 duster: updating, and a no-dough pro-touring makeover

I see so many cars with carbs on them, and nobody near me can properly tune them. Lots of G-body GM products that people swap to carb, delete (some of) the emissions stuff and A/C. They brag how fast they are or how much power they make, but they run like crap. I've told a few guys they need to...

    70 duster: updating, and a no-dough pro-touring makeover

I remember those from my early days installing car stereos. We installed LOTS of those. Was probably one of the better 4 channel amps we sold. Jay

    70 duster: updating, and a no-dough pro-touring makeover

Yes, on the steelies and dog dish hubcaps. I love that looks. Someday I'd like to do a 67-69 Dart with that setup. Also, is that old Kenwood amp a 744? Jay

Floors pan and trans tunnel suggestions

Especially considering all the extra stuff you have to buy (chassis stiffening kit and transmission-specific crossmember). I was watching Junkerup on Youtube, and in his latest video, he was doing a walk through on a car he is building for someone, and showed a very clean way to do the trans...

1963 Dodge Dart 270 Convertible for the Wife

Jim works so fast, he could probably finish this, and do another car if he's "working from home" before I'm supposed to go back to work on the 14th. lol

    72 Dart Swinger 3.6L Pentastar +T5

It gives you an option for "Buy it Again" so, 3 more times? lol Full set for $140. Cheaper than steelies.

    1970 Swinger 340 Hemi Orange 4 speed

I used to use Rage Gold (and my boss switched to a cheaper lightweight filler, that works similarly) and we'd wait for it to get to what we called the "green stage," where it was not fully hard but was just beyond tacky. Then we'd used 40 or 80 grit to knock down the major issues. Final body...

1972 Duster Build with my Daughter

I use Weldwood Landau Top adhesive when wrapping parts I build. Something else that works well is non-backed automotive carpet that you haven't sprayed with adhesive. I use it frequently because we usually have some around the shop. I might try the 6mm plastic next time I do something large. Top...

Pretty sure the padding above the kick panels should be black side out. Also, at this rate this thing will be done before January 2019. lol

1972 Duster Build with my Daughter

I always feel like the next post will be some huge milestone complete. Like I'll log in tomorrow and it'll be painted, and by Thursday it will be put back together and she'll be driving it to school. lol You're making the rest of us look bad! haha Jay

    Project Riddler's Ride - 1976 Plymouth Duster

That's cool that you got a Summit feature. Car looks and sounds great. I noticed you started this like 9 years ago, made me feel better about my progress (or lack thereof) and I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (far away, but it's there! lol) Nice job. Jay

My Project - 1971 Plymouth Duster

I'm not a huge fan of most of those, because the quality just isn't there.... But, there are a lot of bluetooth receiver units (typically designed for marine and powersports stuff) that you can put in the dash where noone can see it. Pioneer has an App called "ARC" that allows you to control...

I clicked on a Youtube video review of that blasting cabinet...which led me to find several videos about mods to make to it. Apparently, lighting isn't it's only weak spot, but it's a good start. If I had more room and a better compressor I'd pick one up. Nice progress. Jay

My Project - 1971 Plymouth Duster

Gonna leave her intact until after Dream Cruise? Good to see you in a position to have a "fun" car again. I'll be following (on here, I'm taking a break from facebook) All my previous Mopars have been 1st gen Neon coupes. lol Jay

What are your plans for the Dart shell? (Sadly, I'm too far away and in the middle of a project to be able to do anything with it) That is my favorite body style A body. Hope it doesn't go to waste. Looking forward to progress! Jay
