    My timing is locked out at 36* but I retard 10* during startup. If I disable this feature, it's more difficult to get started.

    Did you try removing the charge pipe but keeping the box enclosed to start it? I wonder if there is some sort of restriction with the blower at low RPM.

    Sorry for the sidetrack but just curious. Will that blower feed a 416? I thought they maxed out at 7psi on around 300 cid engines.

    You're going to love that converter. Same one I bought last year. There is an offset on the holes so it only goes on one way. I didn't get a shirt!

    This looks like a great start. Pretty similar to my setup. 8 is a good heat range for plugs. At 8psi, 20* timing and intercooler you shouldn't see any detonation. Spray a little meth for extra precaution and you should be good. You said you lowered C/R but what is your overall compression?

    Thought I would follow up with a couple of videos. The car is a damn torque monster. The "soft launch" video is about 3/4 throttle using no brakes. And those are 305/35r18 NT01s it's breaking loose no problem.

    I like using methanol as more of a safety measure. At 10.5:1 any hiccup at all in the meth system while under boost and you're toast.

    Those are projected tip plugs. It is best to stick with non-projected when playing with boost.

    Throwing a small blower on a high performance NA engine probably won't be worth the trouble. Will your cam help build boost or work against it? Is your torque converter flash point set to get you into boost? Plus, if your 408 is putting down those numbers then it's breathing pretty good...

    -I'm not a fan of that blower. If you have decent flowing heads it will be very hard to spin a bd11a safely and get 9psi on a 416. -You won't lose throttle response but if your cam and converter aren't built for boost it will be a dog down low. -Weight isn't a huge deal when you look at...
