    Parts Prices, WTF?!

It's always funny to see a thread about this. I mean, when I'm browsing ads or going through a swap meet if a dude has something for sale that I want that is beyond my opinion of its value I just keep walking. Sometimes I'll make an offer if it's not insanely off what my opinion is but I'm not...

    Clutch pedal repair

Tony that turned out GREAT!! Thanks for all the extra effort, I really mean it. I've never seen such wear on a pedal before, that clutch effort must have been crazy!!

    what's a original 7 1/4 duster rear end worth

I had a 7.25 from my old '67 Valiant I gave away to some hippy off Craigslist who had a blow up rear up in his hoopty. He was stoked.

When is a Car "Level" - Home Front End Alignment

Well I wasn't expecting this kind of response! Many thanks for those of you who commented. I need to get it in the ballpark after a total front end rebuild. Once its close I can get to a more optimal place to do the work perfectly. This isn't my first home alignment I've done, I just usually...

When is a Car "Level" - Home Front End Alignment

This is probably a stupid question but I wanna know when a Mopar is considered "level". Can I just go off the rocker? IE; if it is level on the rockers then is the car is considered level? Again; Seems like a stupid question but I'm doing a home front end alignment in less than perfect...

Can a 400BBM w/cheap aluminum heads compete/dominate against the street LS?

Forced induction is the way to go. The engine itself is stout enough, put a huffer on it. I have a running '73 motorhome 440 and a 440 6-71 setup that I'm gonna screw together one day into a time bomb...

WTF now... strut rod too long on one side?

I was so at my wits end last night, tired of every step having a complication or snafu. I just want to drive the thing again! I don't see anything obviously bent or broken but people have definitely been into the front suspension before. I've found replacement bushings and random suspension...

WTF now... strut rod too long on one side?

So I was putting my front end back together after replacing all the bushings and steering box.... other than the typical spinning LCA pins with the poly bushings it all went back together pretty okay.... except the passenger side control arm is pushed back on the pin. Driver side is okily...

    Odd Power Steering Pump?

Sorry, it’s just the gear box. I’m trying to fix the stupid steering on the damn car and it feels like I’ve been chasing my tail ever since I got it... ugh!!!

    Odd Power Steering Pump?

So I ordered a Cardone 276542 off RockAuto, supposedly supposed to fit a ‘74 along with a ton of other Mopar vehicles. It does NOT look like any Mopar box I've ever seen. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this style box? I'm worried if it even fits an A-body! Any Mopar people have...

    flip top gas cap/ 65 dart ?

The ones that are just stuck on always look like a pimple. Gotta recess that metal like @MoparMike1974 did to get it to look good.

    Getting pissed at rock Auto

I ordered an alternator, Moog offset upper control arm bushings and Proforged upper ball joints from them Monday morning. Everything is here already except the ball joints which show delivery tomorrow.

    I have cool friends!!

Those are schweeet!! I almost stuffed one into a Model A but it ended up being junk. Too bad all the vintage speed equipment is so rare and expensive, too. Nothing like a fully dressed poly!

Applying Rust Killer to under carriage /frame any reason not to ?

I have used a product called "Ospho" to amazing success on my vintage Ford projects. Heavy duty gloves, stainless steel brush pads, eye protect and elbow grease. Knocked all heavy stuff off and used Ospho to get a '32 frame to beautiful bare metal. The say you can paint directly over it but...

Dart Special Edition door pull strap removal

I love eBay, sometimes it’s the best research tool available. Found both the strap and retainer on different auctions, hopefully I can get this off now that I know what I’m working with.

Dart Special Edition door pull strap removal

The woodgrain is a sticker on the chromed metal piece. The chromed metal piece “wiggles” so I suspect the whole thing slides off somehow, I just didn’t get too forceful because I didn’t want to break something impossible to replace. You can’t really get to the backside of it without bending...

Dart Special Edition door pull strap removal

Dudes!!! I’m wanting to install my fancy sport mirrors on this heap, have everything removed/UNclipped except this thing. Before I go and mutilate things does anyone know how these covers/clips come off?

    Floor brackets under AC vents?

Its a '74 Dart 2 door SE. They're under the dash on the hump so it seems unlikely they're for a buddy seat.

    Floor brackets under AC vents?

I have these two factory-looking brackets on the Dart located on the hump under the plastic AC manifold. The PO screwed a tach into one of them. What are these for? There's no other brackets or hole for a floor shifter.

Leaky windshield gasket on the Dodge

Someone suggested this: Permatex® Flowable Silicone Windshield & Glass Sealer I might order it up and give it a try, although I'm gonna try the garden hose idea like @Dave 74 Dart suggested first to make sure the cowl or wiper seals aren't leaking. :D

    The dart got painted today!!!!

That looks great and I love that color!!

Leaky windshield gasket on the Dodge

It's an almost rust free California car with no rust in the window channels, a few tiny bubbles appearing in the passenger side lower quarter. We didn't use any sealant with the rubber seal because we've done other windshields that use rubber seals before with no leaks, this one is a first for...

    Go-wing Spoiler on 70s Valiant

It's not my car unfortunately just a picture I saved when I had Valiant coupe. The problem with Mopar guys is some of them can't get over the "NOT FACTORY" mindset. They will dump on you for having a "NOT COOL" '74 Dart or a four door whatever or the wrong scoop or whatever so just ignore 'em...

Leaky windshield gasket on the Dodge

Could be the seals leaking too, but it's also at the front edge of the dash as noted in the original post. Maybe it's that special anti-gravity rain we get sometimes here.

Leaky windshield gasket on the Dodge

First off: It's a new windshield with a new gasket We just got our first rain here in KOMMIEFORNIA and el neuvo Darto had a puddle on the driver's side. I suspect the vindow scheel and not wiper seals because its moist on the top front edge of the dash in addition to the wet floor I vaguely...
