I have pitted 68 GTS trunk panel. I found another panel but its not blacked out top and bottom. Is it fairly easy to paint the missing areas and what would the proper paint be? Also did they use the panel on more than one model?

I did the stock resto 25 years ago with my 65 Cuda. I plan on just having fun with this one. Likely put numbers matching motor under bench and build a stroker. Gojng for a period day 2 vibe with this one. Just like before getting married.

Car is coming along. 68 GTS 383 auto. Engine is running stock manifolds and has an unknown rebuilt from a previous time. Now it's time for new exhaust. Been planning on a 2.5" as I plan to add headers min in the future. Does anyone have a similar combo and how satisfied are you.

I pinned the speedo in my 69 340 swinger a few times back in the day. My 79 5.0 Mustang I got up to 5400 rpm in 4th gear which was an over drive. In that car it was 2100 rpm at 70 mph. So do the math and it should have been 140 plus????

Thanks for all the answers. Cleaned it up pretty good but its got a few crack lines and fill neck is chipped from brittleness. Will use for now and watch for decent replacement
