    90 RAM steering shaft removal?

We're replacing the sterring box on my 90 RAM 4x4 Cummins. How do you remove the steering shaft from the box? The factory manual just says remove it but there's a metal cover on it that doesn't allow access to where you would remove the bolt? How does the cover come off is the real question...

    Odometer quit working?

The odometer on my 90 RAM diesel stopped working but the speedometer works fine. I've never had one quit without the other, any ideas?

    Lost reverse?

I just lost reverse in my 90 RAM, never had a problem with it before. Put it in reverse this morning and nothing, drive is fine. Any ideas on this, it's a 727. I'm hoping it's a cheap fix, not wanting to get it rebuilt :banghead:

    Some cars show pics

I was at this little indoor show yesterday, not a very big show due to the building size but the quality of the cars was amazing. This is an all brands show so viewer discretion is advised :D These were parked outside, perhaps as a sampler These hearse projects...

    smelly catalytic converter?

My 90 RAM just started to stink which I assume is the cat gone bad, rotten egg smell. The truck runs fine and we don't have smog tests here so I have no intention on shelling out money to replace it. I was just going to weld in a straight pipe where it was but my lazy side started thinking. Does...

    High zinc oil

What are you guys using for oil? As our cars are mostly pre 75 we need a much higher zinc content (1200 ZPPM) than most of the stuff on the shelves these days. Just built a motor and don't want to end up with a wiped cam in a week.

    Jeep trans problem

Not an A-body but I know we have an amazingly diversified group of smart folks here. My wife has a 2002 Jeep TJ, or perhaps Wrangler in the US. The trans idiot light came on today so I checked the fluid for starters, it wasn't low but it was bubbly/fizzy on the dip stick? I can't say I've ever...

    Toyota Rav4 Trans?

Sorry for posting here but I know there are members that work for various makes even though they bleed Mopar. Trying to pull the trans on a 97 Toyota Rav4 all wheel drive and can't figure out how? Can't find much info anywhere on this, can it be done without pulling the engine/trans as a unit...

    Tebow traded to Jets

Just reported although unconfirmed. He'll be backing up Sanchez, not ideal for him but maybe it will work out somehow. Interesting personality combo plate, Sanchez by all accounts is a self centered prick. :D

    Drying out a 5.7 hemi?

I doubt any of you have had this experience but thought I'd ask anyway. A guy drove his 2007 Chrysler 300 through some rather deep puddles, (like a foot deep) the last one washed right over the engine and killed it (likely literally) Pulled the plugs and dropped the oil pan (about a gallon of...

    /6 to 360 swap?

I'm getting ready do to this, been gathering parts and whatnot for a while. I could have sworn there was a thread that covered all the angles on the swap but can't find it anywhere? I have the motor mounts to make it happen but not sure what other pitfalls there are, did read a short thread...

    Long tailshaft 727?

I'm gearing up to finally do the 360/727 swap into my 70 Duster /6 904. The trans I have is the long 727, is there any issues with using this trans? other than the driveshaft length

    Mr. Norm Tribute

I went to a little Mopar show this weekend, I only talked very briefly with the owner and never did ask about the motivation to do a tribute car. Whether or not you like the tribute aspect, the car is truly amazing

    Another back surgery

I haven't been arournd here much the last year or two but I do lurk :happy1: Anyway, I had back surgery a little over a year ago, unfortunately it didn't work. The reason I'm posting on this is I had several replys from people more or less in the same boat, so the results of this will be for...

    Dog question

This is probably a stupid question but I'm not very dog saavy, I love dogs but for one reason or another I've never had one. Some of you who know me might know that we have a cabin in the woods, and the local dogs are free to roam at will. Never a problem with that, it's great actually, we get...

    Anybody need a laugh?

My wife and I went over to my son's place today to visit and see our very recently born grandaughter :toothy7: Anyway you know that horrible feeling when you've discovered you've locked your keys in the car? I didn't do that, I, um, flushed my keys down the toilet :shock::shock: I had a...

    RAM Window regulator channel

Have any of you that own a RAM replaced the window channel, mine have rotted off and while it's obvious that the window sits in the "U" shaped channel, I was wondering what to use for adhesive? This is the piece that attaches to the rollers on your scissor lift and the side window.

    Thunder in the Valley

I don't know if any of our island guys made it to the races, the weather was pretty bad all around but it cleared and the races went on starting around 1:30. This is our annual hijack the airport strip for the weekend and do some racing, 4 classes, street, mod, pro and door slammers, the later...

    Photo storage sites?

What do you guys use for photo storage? I've been using Photobucket for a long time now but I've reached my storage capacity so I started deleting old pics but I only get about 1MB back for every 20MB deleted. I don't like the smell of that, go pro and pay, like it or not :angry7: Any other...

    So what's new?

I haven't been around much lately, anything exciting going on? My Mom had a heart attack followed by triple bipass, valve replacement surgery a month ago so that kept me busy. It came out of nowhere, she's the healthiest person I ever met, the only time she was ever in a hospital is when I...

WARNING - not all the pics portrayed here are Mopars, in the interest of your safety I have started with a few Mopars and transitioned into the "other" brands with a 39 Chev pickup retrofitted with a Cummins diesel :-D Once you see that Chev proceed with caution, you've been warned :bootysha...

    Back Surgery

Well, wish me luck guys and gals, I go in on Tuesday for long awaited back surgery. They're going to do a bilateral Foraminotomy ( basically porting my vertebrae on both sides :-D ) and a discectomy, that's with a "D" not a "V" :toothy10:

    Re-pop sheet metal

I'm working on my wife's project and having some kind of miserable time with this re-pop metal crap. Has anyone ever had any luck with that? Every car I've ever done I've had fits with it. It's so far off it makes your head spin, how do they come up with this, just eye ball it, make it, never...

    Thread moved to ?

I noticed a thread from yesterday got moved to some mystery location I don't have access to? It was to do with the Olympics and not allowing US employed people to compete against the US. It was a civil thread last I saw, did this deteriorate into some kind of mess? :munky2:

    New Buddy

As some of you know we have a cabin out in the backwoods/country, everyone has 5 acres or more and the dogs get to do their own thing. This is our newest little buddy, came around a few times the last couple months being all shy but this weekend that all changed, we're now best buds :-D Looks...
