I have a complete S6 out of my sons 74 Duster , doesn't run any more but you are welcome to any parts you need off it . the carb is sitting on my shelf in the shop ... it's a stock Carter 2bbl . I am currently offshore working so I can't help you right now but ...there you go. Rich

Today was a good day . Vaughn completed the plug welding of his AMD floor ( see Locumob he did learn to weld !) and we raised the car off the floor jacks with the new Whirlyjig rotisserie ! Tomorrow we remove the old 7 1/4 rear axle . Also I sold the 66 Ranchero , seen in the Road trip...

Checked the rear axle today ... it's a 741 with a sure grip ... forgot to check ratio , maybe I 'll check it later today , got honeydoos to get to now.

Hard to believe it's been two years since posting here . I wish I could say the car was done but... no ... work , time and money constraints , weather events and honeydoos at the ranch along with Vaughn discovering girls and losing his mind for a bit added a new layer of dust to the Duster ...

I buy mine from this guy Carter AVS Carburetor Kit - 69-71 Chrysler & Plymouth ... kits are quality , I just bought two AFB kits recently from him , ethanol ready accelerator pump was standard . I think the price is right on his stuff ... he shows two different kits for the carbs you mentioned.

Sorry for the lack of updates ... I have been playing catch up lately... working two jobs along with all the honeydoo's around the ranch doesn't leave much time for Vaughn's car. He's getting pulled in many directions also , currently he is visiting his Grampa in Kentucky , he goes every year...

Nice job , I just bought a Harbor freight engine stand and had to cut off and reweld the tubes that the engine mounting bolts go through ... Chinese can't weld for $hit and apparently the welder that made mine was blind too because they were as crooked as a politician ! I'm going to pick up some...

Oh , I gotcha ... yeah he's definitely doing a good job so far ... I think when schools out he will get some good progress done . He did all but about a dozen of those spotwelds himself . I helped in some difficult areas but I let him go at his own pace and he got it done eventually . He's away...

Thanks for all the great comments guys ... locumob I WILL teach him to weld although right now he likes the plasma cutter better , tried to let him weld on a tractor project I just finished but he said he didn't want to screw it up ... he will do some of the welding on his car before this is...

Sorry I let this thread fizzle out , I had a change of employers and for the first time since high school (over thirty years ago) was unemployed for several weeks ...scared the $hit outta me! Any way all is good now , but money is tight so no big purchases for a while ... doesn't mean we ain't...
