    Manual column shaft issue

Last question today: Is there a bearing at the end of the tube or anywhere 40” up the tube? I’d rather not deal with that. Also, Ma Mopar wasn’t messing around when she built that shift lever nub. Almost burned up my Dremel. Thanks

    Manual column shaft issue

I’ll check Mancini. How far up did you cut the tube. It does take up space. Which headers?

    Manual column shaft issue

Thank you. Glad I didn’t beat on it too much. JEGS and Summit list $216 adapters. I just saw one for $140 built by a shop in Ohio. It is not as pretty but looks good. Any info about them? Also, did you just cut off the shift indicator and shift lever bracket? I should be able to cut off...

    Manual column shaft issue

Good Day. I swapped my 1966 Barracuda PS gear for a manual gear box. Column is about 4” short. I can’t figure out how to extend the shaft. I don’t see any nylon shear pins. I also changed to a floor shift so I don’t need that shifter arm. What do I do now?

Fix for by-pass hose with LA water pump

Nice. I put a newer (bottom hose passenger side) water pump on a 1966 273. By-pass on pump 1" 1966 intake 1/2" NPT - Cannot find a nipple to neatly adapt the 1/2" to 3/4" that has a 1" outer diameter. I settled for a 1/2" threads into 1/2 to 3/4 adapter then a nipple off a newer MoPar...

Yes please. Looks like I'm about to get an unexpected $1200.00, so Sandersons and a better rear axle gear ratio.

    Removing Steering Shaft 1966 Barracuda

Absolutely GREAT!! Am currently enjoying not removing that manifold. You did a nice job making the original manifold pretty. Not looking forward to putting the 273 manifold back in as I would like some power/speed. Should I do Sanderson headers instead? I don't like the money part but it...

Good Morning cudajames, I took your advice on the manual steering gear. Got mine from Jegs. I broke the Volare's PS belt while racing and left it off. Certainly "Armstrong" steering. The manual gearbox on the lighter Barracuda should be much better. Probably a bad idea but, I'm debating...

Now how'd you find these? I have been looking for years. Just found TTI 636A How much denting to make these fit? I am not good at disassembling the steering column. How'd you connect to the headers? Kit? I have a short run to side pipes. Thanks

Thanks again. Now researching 360 exhaust manifolds (hope not but). Hoping to confirm/force the issue next week. Engine out today then bringing Barracuda in to pull its engine and trans.

Thank you again. You nicely wrapped all that. Why are 64-66 so difficult to buy for? Worse than a … May build some if I can't find shorties.

Thank you. Am resigning myself to the Doug's D-450. The Jegs' detail says no on column shift which mine is. Is yours and the solution is a little denting? I have side pipes which previously were matched to long headers on a 1974 Coronet (first car). Not sure if the length will work on a...

    Hooker,doug's,TTI?

Good Morning, I'm looking for the same solution. 1966 Barracuda 273/904 going out. 1979 360/727 going in. Will race the Barracuda so I need headers but don't want to cut fender wells. Was thinking the Doug's were my solution. What didn't fit? I've even considered modifying some headers I...
