The 4121S with CAP (Clean Air Package) for manual transmissions might be the counterpart to the wanted 4119S. Maybe the CAP's were in use in California.

Looking for an original Carter 4119S Carburetor for my 1966 Barracuda 273 commando HiPo with manual transmission. I do have a 4120S (automatic) and a 4121S (CAP), that has been wrongly taged with 4119S. I would trade the 4121S (completely restored). Thanks, Robert

Last thing we've done: Changing oil and filter and checking/adjusting the valve lash. My brother checked it hot: Intake .013" (.33mm) / Exhaust: .021 (.53mm) I rechecked it today cold: Intake .012" (.30mm) / Exhaust .019" (.48mm) Millimeters are approx. Still think it's pretty noisy..., guess...

Had to replace the trunk rubber seal, because exhaust gases were sucked into the car. So I decided to do it right on a nice sunday afternoon. There is no gas issue anymore.

I made that fish swimming by moulding the background with transparent enamel... Had to replace that hose. It was leaking. That small patch I had to put on to help it passing the classic car licence...!!!

Made myself that shifter boot, because the one I got as a reproduction produced some friction between the rubber and the console. Classic radio installed - fm Auto meter gauges for water temp and oil pressure I "could" plug on my smart phone or any other mp3-device, but....

You're surely right. There's another thread in the forum around this topic. Otherwise I just needed the pump to refill the float chambers to get the engine started faster. After that I would rather turn it off with a switch from the inside. It's tempting to mount a pump inside the engine bay...

I wonder what would be the best spot to place the pump. Is there a specific brand/type you would recommend? Robert
