Not a crack, just went out and looked closer.

It is 77 440. I took off one of the heads today and the cylinders look okay. I don't really know what I'm looking at though. It had the original metal head gasket. I measured the deck to piston at top dead center and got .156". (I watch Nick's Garage)

I picked it up today. Here is a pic of the top pad and the 440 with a pile of parts. It has the 452 heads and is not locked up.

Fender Tag Help Here is a thread I made 8 years ago. Post #11 has three pics of my build sheet.

There is nothing hidden under the other tag. White Hat Special package A describes my car exactly. I found two build sheets in my car, one is somewhere in the house. I'll see if I can find it.

I have; 2nd row F:1 on my 68 Dart 270, I thought it signified the White Hat Special. 3rd row 1:4, I think it is for sill molding. 3rd row 8:9, I think it is for side molding delete. Do you have better info on these? Thanks 1WildRT.

I pulled in the garage last nite and noticed a puddle under the car. It was power steering fluid. It was leaking out of the cap. I don't think it was overfilled. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice? Thanks FABO.

I decided to go fill up the 68 Dart for the trip to Carlisle. I turned the key and it just kept cranking without starting. As soon as I turned the key back to run it started. Anybody ever have this issue? Any advice? Thanks FABO.

Driving with it is great. It is very responsive and there is no slop. However, it is hard to crank when parking or pulling out.
