    My new slicks

@cawcislo They worked fine, I guess. This was the first time I drove with slicks so I´m still a newbie. The Tallhed Dragway is just a 1/8 mile track and I managed to get a 10.2002 sec run as my best. Did the 60´ in 2.2537 sec. I have a problem with the engine though. The torque converter...

    My new slicks

I wanted slicks for the Valiant but all of them where too wide for my taste, and too wide for the standard wheel houses. After some research I found these Phoenix F/X 7/26-15 at Jegs. Mounted on standard steel rims, 6 inches wide they look perfect for that old school/sleeper look.

    seat covers where to buy

Yes, I'm happy with the quality overall. It is close to the original color. That said, I've not mounted the covers yet so I can´t tell how the fitment is.

    seat covers where to buy

It depends on what you are willing to pay and how close to original you want it to be. Legendary is of course the best and but costs a lot. I ordered my set from Automotive Interiors, MA. A total of $ 420 for two bench seats. Delivery time was about 6 weeks from ordering until I picked up the...

My plan for new wheels, what do you think?

Update: I have made up mind and I will go with the same tires and rims as the ´68 Valiant from Hot Rod magazine. "Coker’s reproduction BFG Redlines on 15 inch Mopar steelies... ...tire sizes 215/65R15 (front) and 225/60R15 (rear) mounted on 15x6 (front) and 15x8 (rear)" Thank you all for the...

My plan for new wheels, what do you think?

Going from 14” steel wheels to 15” as I want to keep the stock appearance. Planning on 6” wide in front, 8 or 8.5” in back. I´m also changing the 7 1/4 rear end to a 8 3/4. I did a quick mock up in PS to show how it sits now and how it (hopefully) will look later. (Nevermind the widht of the...

Yes, you can. The insurance companies I have been in touch with has never asked about the steering column lock or any other theft prevention items installed by the factory/importer.

Horn button and horn trim compatibility, need some help

I bought a complete steering wheel from a 68 Valiant for my 67 Valiant a couple of years ago. The centers on both where twist on. I could put the trim ring and horn button on both wheels. I could also mix the the horn buttons with the trim rings with no problem. IE, the 67 horn ring with the 68...

Better put those parts in zip lock bags before you have to crawl on the floor to find them. Don´t ask me why I suggest that.
