I have a 63 valiant that i put a 273 in it with a LD4B intake on it with a summit carb. and a thick gasket on it.And i was wondering what kind of aftermarket air cleaner i could use, One with a flat base or a drop base so it won't hit my hood.I want to use a 14x3 if i can.Thank's for any help

Yea my instruction's don't say anything either do you think i could drop down and let it rest on the header and then work from the bottom and silicone the gasket's so it will stay in place.Thank's for your help.

If i could get both hand's in there to hold the gasket in place would it be best just to take the header back off and just start over and put the adapter on then the header back on.??

That the way with me i have alway's had 70s car this is the first 60 model i have worked on and the only thing on the back of the cluster is a condenser think i might have it hook to the wrong post on the cluster.

I switched my 63 Valiant to the newer style alternator and regulator and now all my gauges go plum over to the right ,It a 273 now and was wondering if anybody had that problem.Thanks for any help.

It's a new battery I just figured it was the fan's and the msd taking the juice out when it at idle i don't have my headlights or wipers hooked up so just don't worry about the gauge or put an aftermarket on it.....

Yea its grounded good to the motor and the firewall I drilled the holes a little bigger and put bolts and tap's on it to be sure.......

Yea i'm checking it at the battery when it's running you can take the cable off and it will keep running as long as you rev it up a little but at idle it will run for a min. and die but i do have the fans running and has a msd to.........

It a little over 12 volts just the battery..........

I got my 63 Valiant to running and i had changed the voltage regulator to the electronic and it show it charging about 13.5 volts but my old amp gauge goes all the way to the right,Do i need to change it or what is going on,When it idles it's in the middle but rev it up and it goes all the way...

I check my wiring this morning and i had 2 wires switched i had the starter relay wire on the horn relay on the starter relay switched them and it cranked right up,Thanks for the help.....

What color is the wire that goes to the relay i had 2 wire one was a pink looking and the other was black or dark blue and i just guessed on where they went could i have the wrong one plug to the relay i plug the other one to the horn relay.

All the cables are new i have it grounded to the motor plus the car and which wire do i need to check it has ing.1 and ing.2 on the switch ,What do you find on your's.Thanks

I have a 63 Plymouth Valiant which i switch over from a \6 to a v\8 and been trying to start it and all it does when i try to start it with the switch all it does is click but i can cross it over on the relay and it will start,Everything is brand new all but the ignition switch does anyone have...

Can i just run a wire to it and ground to the car will that hurt anything.??

i think someone changed the switch because i have one junked and it just has 5 prongs on it but can't use it don't have a key sorry about the pics. was hard to get in there to get a good pic.
