    1972 Dodge Demon

For sale is my 1972 Dodge Demon. I purchased this car in the winter of 2006 from the original owner, who got it as a gift upon graduation from high school. With the car comes its complete repair history, including brake, muffler, oil changes, and tune-ups. This Demon wears its original B3...

Your car is coming along nicely! I have one too, but mine started life with a leaning tower of power. It is b3 originally, and I bought it from the original owner. Here's a before and after picture. :toothy10:

    Top Fuel Fun Facts

Truly amazing. This past fall I was invited and went to the top fuel NHRA event at Memphis. I wasn't really that excited about going. Glad I went. It's one of those things you have to see and feel to believe. I've seen Nascar superspeedway races, and the Indy 500. The power of the top...

    Street Racing A Nova !

I had the exact same problem with my Demon with warmed up 360. Did just about everything recommended here: fuel pickup, filter, put in 3/8 lines, float level, and it didn't fix it. Finally upgraded the fuel pump to a Carter and it fixed it. The cheap, standard pump cannot keep up.

    Remove Heater Control Face Plate

How do I remove the heater control face plate on a 72 Demon? I see that the lever knobs have small set screws on the bottom, but I can't seem to get the face plate off the metal dash. Are there screws in the back of it or something? I was hoping it would just pop off.

    72 Demon

1972 Dodge Demon. Here's what I started with: I bought this car 2 years ago as a 1 owner grocery getter with a slant 6, automatic trans, and a 7 ¼ rear. It was very clean and straight with a tired interior and rust only in the lower quarters. The car was purchased new in Port Huron, MI, in...

    The North and South

This was clearly written by a Yankee. Everyone in the south knows that "y'all" is plural, not singular. I never have understood the fascination of "y'all" - it's just a contraction of "you all". I'll talk to y'all later.

    8 3/4 Sure Grip Info

I bought a powerlock from www.doctordiff.com. I had him press on the bearings, and orderd a bottle of friction modifier. He was easy to work with and sent my unit out really fast. Now my Demon is laying 2 stripes. I can't wait to see how much it will knock off my time at the strip! I would...

    Rattle can petty blue

Adam, I could be wrong here, but I think "Petty Blue" and B3 are actually 2 different paint codes. I always heard that petty blue was in fact a 999 code. But they are very close, and B3 blue is commonly, but mistakenly, called "Petty Blue."

Any Sonic Drive In lovers out there

Sonic is ok, I don't eat there too often though for some reason. The best thing they have going is the "happy hour" on drinks. You can get any drink on the menu, even the slushes, for 1/2 price. I usually get a 44oz slush for a buck something. I believe it is from 2-4pm every day.

Ice Storm .. Big fat bummer !!!

We had a bad one here in 94. I had no power for 8 days, and my son was only an infant! It certainly changed my priorities for a few days: 1. find wood to burn in fireplace to keep house warm 2. Find food. At least with our ice storm, the temperature rose into the 40s after the first day. I...

    72 Demon Resto

Updated! I finished the Demon almost 2 years ago. Since the last posts, I've been driving the heck out of it. I added an 8 3/4 3.23 open rear, which will get a sure grip added this winter. A while back I ordered a cheap hoodscoop, and just now got around to installing it. I've blacked out...

    Sending Unit

I think my fuel filter/sock in the tank of my Demon may be stopped up, and I need to remove it. Any suggestions for pulling the pickup/filter/sending unit out? Can it be done without dropping the tank, or does the rear diff get in the way?
