    1967 Barracuda conv rear seat

A lot (not all) of the parts for the ‘67 A-body convertibles are interchangeable. Per the ‘67 parts manual, I didn’t “see” specific backseat springs for the convertibles just a 2D HT designation, but I’m not sure I was in the right place since the interior parts are split by hard parts in a...

Considering a '67 Dart GT Convertible as my first project. Am I insane?

Nice find. I also have a ‘67 /6 GT ‘vert, but it’s closer to Dana67Dart’s situation. Mine was pretty original and running pretty well; the 1st owner had it 45 yrs. Actually found the build sheet! If you do pull the trigger, get a service manual and parts list from my mopar.com. That’s an...

    Transmission Fluid Fill

Depending on how long it's been, you may want to consider changing the tranny fluid and replace the filter. To do that you'll have to take the transmission pan off, drain it (can be very messy). Then replace filter, gasket and transmission pan and put new fluid in. Can't recall quarts required...

    'fleet/taxi' wiring bypass diagram.

These drawings can be a little confusing. The dashed lines indicate the "normal" wiring paths. The "cut and tape" indicates there isn't a big loop through both the ammeter and big splice. The normal loop also has everything going through the bulkhead connector. In the 65 amp alt configuration...

    'fleet/taxi' wiring bypass diagram.

I already have the harness apart from putting new bulkhead connectors (cleaned them all and replaced a few terminals in them as well) on both sides of the firewall. For grins I figured I'd look up what the 65 amp alt (AKA taxi) wiring required before I closed up. It appears (still not sure I'll...

    'fleet/taxi' wiring bypass diagram.

Here's what I see on page 8-167. Based on this diagram a 6ga wire on the alt goes to a "terminal block" where it Ys off to: 1) direct 6ga wire to ammeter; 2) to a 16ga fuse link/10ga wire to bulkhead connector then a 12ga wire in the cabin. Is that terminal block called out just a post terminal...

    'fleet/taxi' wiring bypass diagram.

are the connections at the terminal block 3 ring terminals on a single post? (sorry for the bifurcated post, fat fingered it!) - Calls out 16ga wire from starter relay to ammeter red post, while 6ga from the alt, I'm assuming that's to ensure as little loss from alt as possible, hence the...

    'fleet/taxi' wiring bypass diagram.

Big thanks for this reference, seems not a lot harder than the madelectrical fix, IMO. Now a couple of questions regarding the diagram: - Calls out 6ga wire from alt through a terminal to the bulkhead; can it be 8ga? - Calls out a terminal block which splits out the alt lead to a fusible...

    quick lift by ranger

Sorry for tardy reply, doors seemed to function properly, but being a drop top, haven't messed with that too much when up. Perp because of the location of factory lift points. Pads are short of them in parallel setup. It's stayed up as long as couple of weeks while replacing leaf springs.

    Seat Release Cable Q

I purchased new cables through JEGS 'cause pass side was broken, but didn't know about this missing clip. I McGruber'd it with a couple of 8" zip ties (figured the thicker the better). Not elegant or concours quality, but it works, who knows for how long.

Thanks for the replies, but I went with the QJ perpendicular to the frame and it went FABO fasho.

    quick lift by ranger

I see you have the blocks against the pinch welds. I have a 67 Dart convertible and have concerns since there's no roof to act as a crossmember. Thoughts? Thanks

    Quick Lift

Thanks Dave! Yup, Dart is 111" w'base. I ran the QJ perpendicular to the frame allowing it to lift the car at the frame. Not my preference, but it's mentioned as an option in the QJ instruction manual. Thanks again for the pics!

    Quick Lift

My question has to do with where you placed the rear blocks? I have a '67 Dart convertible and the QJ blocks don't line up with the frame members precisely as the QJ ramps are ever so slightly shorter than the front/rear frame rails. I see the 'Cuda has the front rails on, but no pics for where...
