    (2) 12" fans versus (1) 16" fan

I think we are talking about 2 things... 1. focusing the air flow through the radiator to capture all the surface area of the cooling fins. 2. making sure adequate air volume is moving across the cooling fins to maintain temperature. And there is item 3. moving the coolant through the...

    (2) 12" fans versus (1) 16" fan

Bob, it's a pretty livey 418, solid roller, 11:1...it will need a substantial cooling system. the 4 core radiator will help, but the more I study air flow requirements the more I see the need for more air moving across that radiator...

    (2) 12" fans versus (1) 16" fan

Getting ready to order a new Champion 4 core radiator...I'm thinking having the redundancy of 2 fans would be a good idea, and that one 12" fan will likely maintain engine temp, while using the 2nd fan in traffic or after a hard run at the track. Has anyone studied this? A couple of notes...

Another Small Block Crank Damper question

been studying dampers as I finish a 418 build...Innovators West seems to have the best quality damper..a little extra insurance after investing lots of money in a race engine.

    Add 273's, 340's & 360's to the "318 Race" ?

small block, 904 trans, 8 3/4 rear...no power adders...the car is light, has a strong bottom end, and an exceptional valvetrain. He's been an A-body guy like me since high school. You'll see him at Orlando and PBIR fairly often.

    Add 273's, 340's & 360's to the "318 Race" ?

I'm in...I'll be lining up against my son in our stock 99 Dakota R/T...hoping the little wheezer 318 will give the truck a run for it's money...we'll see in the next few weeks. Pics to follow. P.S. I question the indexing and penalty breakdown for 340 based motors when I watch my friend in...

    Add 273's, 340's & 360's to the "318 Race" ?

Although it would be cool to build a database with car specs, engine specs, and ET's for all motors...definitely get more involvement from everyone.

    Add 273's, 340's & 360's to the "318 Race" ?

I'm in...sounds like it should stay 318's, and maybe 273's...

    What else would I need?

72 Duster...bought the front disc brake kit separate from the master cylinder and proportioning valve...either way, I got some guidance from Doctor Diff, purchased the master cylinder and a new proportioning valve to accommodate the front discs...works flawlessly. Sidenote, did not go with...

    Tire size recommendations needed

I misquoted the front tires on our black Duster...they are 215/60's...7" wide front rim. Just barely touches the bottom inner fender bolt. Can't remember the backspacing. 255/60's give you a little more flexibility with suspension and travel than the 275's...they are not quite as tall.

    Tire size recommendations needed

1972 Duster...205/60/15 fronts, 255/60/15 rears... check your tire size charts for actual tire heights on your 14" rims...you'll be surprised at the differing heights for 60 and 70 series tires...
