    225 Slant no spark

I just went through a somewhat similar experience... Try and hot wire it by running a wire from the positive battery terminal to the positive post on the ignition coil and use a screw driver to connect the solenoids on your relay. This bypasses the wiring of the ignition switch and if it works...

***RESOLVED*** replaced dead battery, now engine doesn't turn over.

Just a quick update for everyone. I managed to find the gremlin that was causing all my headaches. I had a local mopar enthusiast come over and double check my novice work and try to help locate the issue. We were able to hotwire the car by sticking a wire from the positive battery lead to the...

***RESOLVED*** replaced dead battery, now engine doesn't turn over.

@Bad Sport Yeah, I even double checked the service manual to make sure they were the correct wires on the correct posts. @67dart273 You are correct, it is not firing. I have verified I am getting a nice little blue spark on the points of the distributor though. All the tests so far has been...

***RESOLVED*** replaced dead battery, now engine doesn't turn over.

@Bad Sport Yes, the wires and plugs are all connected in the right firing order and I did put the rotor back on... At least if I didn't it fell into a hole that I can't see it and with as open as this engine compartment is, it's not on the ground.

***RESOLVED*** replaced dead battery, now engine doesn't turn over.

The starter is turning the engine and the engine fan. It's not firing and "turning over" to the engine to run on it's own.

***RESOLVED*** replaced dead battery, now engine doesn't turn over.

67Dart273 The starter does crank when in park or neutral and sounds like it does when starting the engine normally except it just keeps cranking and the engine doesn't take over. I know the NSS has a problem as occasionally I need to put it in neutral to get it to crank over but this is a small...

***RESOLVED*** replaced dead battery, now engine doesn't turn over.

I agree, learning to diagnose and fix the correct problem is better. As I'm pretty much a novice under the hood and don't have a lot of free time between my two jobs and access to tons of tools, going through as I have has been a learning experience and I didn't replace all these things after...

***RESOLVED*** replaced dead battery, now engine doesn't turn over.

Hey everyone, I'm hoping I can get some insight and ideas as to how to fix my currently not starting engine. 1970 Dart, automatic, slant 6 225 A couple days ago, I was driving to work and stopped by a gas station real quick before I got to work. When I got back out and tried to start...

    Brake light/turn signal issues.

'70 Dart custom. So last Sunday, I was driving over one of the bridges here in the tampa bay area and had my left rear tire tread blow off the tire at about 80mp/h. Thankfully, it was a steel belted radial so it kept pressure but it knocked a hole into my (admittedly rusty) trunk floor...

New to restores and here with a '70 dart custom

Hey yall, Had a chance to poke around the forums for a couple days after being referred to here from Reddit. Definitely tons of great advice and knowledge and I'm sure I'll be able to soak up a lot of that. I'm not completely new to wrenches but it's been a been long time and it was just...
