Thanks! Yeah I figured it was the crap sender. I didn't find this issue when I searched so I went ahead and posted.

So this has been a problem for a few years. But since the engine rebuild I've been driving the Duster a lot more. The fuel gauge reads the top 4 or 5 gallons in the tank then reads empty after that. I actually never knew it was doing it because the grounding strap was broken but i made a new one...

If you're going to tie in permanently there are a few very strong ways to do it. I would use a lineman splice if you have a soldering iron it's very strong. P.S. Don't forget tyhe heat shrink, electrical tape melts off and is gross to clean up...

I might take some measurements first though if that's okay? I want to build a tubular one. But I can't take the one off my car.

Drip rails and around windows are as close to perfect as they get. One spot with rust on the food on back right corner looks to be minor surface rust.
