    I did mention about side mirrors and antenna. Actually they asked about any modifications. (They had a photo of my car and I did mention the hood scoops, they said that's no big deal.) They don't offer with side pockets for mirrors on mine. And I'm covering it now without any chrome parts on it...

    So I purchased a Dustop California car cover for my 71 Scamp. It came in yesterday and put it on. It doesn't come down far enough to completely cover and protect the sides. Lower rear fenders, rocker panels and lower front quarters are not covered. Does anyone else have this problem?

    You can also spray some fogging oil into each cylinder. Sta-bil and AMSOIL are probably the most common mfgrs. That stuff is intended for these situations exactly. I'm in the same boat as you guys, my 340 is waiting on me to get my car done!

    Uh, you might be right lol. I pulled mine last year and I can't recall but I'm sure it was. There was dried up 40+ year old residue all over the roof ceiling. I'll definitely shop around on prices for an installer to do it. Pishta is right, if can be done for $200, probably worth it.
