I think I might have found the world's greatest snap ring pliers for removing retaining rings in clutch drums. It should be here within a week and I'll know for sure. Anybody already try these or have recommendations? I used to use a K-D tool but can't find it anywhere.

So I've got this 62 Dart 8 3/4 that I need to narrow about 1 1/2" on each side... Does anybody know if the splines in these old axles go far enough up the shaft that I could just cut it off? Then just cut down the housing? I don't see the need to dump the bolt on hubs.. It's in a car and I don't...
