I have installed a 97' 5.9 magnum from a ram 1500 in a 73' Dart Swinger---used all the 97' accessories (power steering pump, alternator & compressor)---got the PS pump and ALT figured out but not quite there with the compressor----any body figure out how to get hoses that work???

I just did this and it worked great------also, you need to remove any weights on the torque convertor---

I have installed a 97' 5.9 magnum in a 73' Dart Swinger with original factory a/c. Have left all the 97' accessories on the 5.9. No problem hooking up the alternator & power steering pump----but---the a/c compressor needs some special hoses to work.---Just wondering if anyone has already figured...

Has anyone drilled the 5.9 magnum heads out to receive 3/8" header bolts??? My heads are off a 97 engine and came with 5/16" bolts----my headers came with 3/8" bolts which makes a lot better sense---so I am hoping to drill the heads an tap for 3/8" thread----just wondering if other people have...

Hey UOP---any chance you remember the part # for the summit block huggers you are using on the magnum??------I have been told the exhaust manifolds on a magnum do not bolt up the same as on the earlier small blocks?? Is that right??---Tx

working on a 96' 5.9 magnum out of a dodge ram 1500. Pulled the bearing caps from a rod and main bearing to inspect the journals and see what size bearings are present. neither bearing had the typical stamps (std., .001, .010 etc...) I am used to. The main had "A-100" & "6 96" stamped on it...
