    transmission cooler placement

Not sure who the question is for. Myself though with an 8”’converter it’s a good addition for the 572. It’s nicely tucked away, barely visible.

You’ve done a very nice job of the install. A lot of work went into your install.

    transmission cooler placement

I thought about the rear but they run cooler up front and the rear was busy anyways. Nice set up though.

    transmission cooler placement

I’m not expecting any problems. It’s mounted the same as my B body cooler, which has been in use for coming on 9 years, including close to 400 1/4 mile passes.

I grabbed a couple of pictures for you. The 2 bolts circled secure an aluminum angle on the underside. Then the cooler bracket is bolted to the angle. Looking up from under. 2 pieces of flat aluminum sandwiches the rad support with a bolt that attaches to the lower trans cooler ledge...

Not so much a clone Hemi Dart

That’s serious fast. Must be 1100+ HP. A beautiful 67. I put Stage V black covers on my KB, would like a little more bling though. 3.5” exhaust. I should have went with that, but nooo.. Buddy Daryl showed me his exhaust and I had to have that. Need more bling. 2 mufflers sets off most...

That’s moving it for sure to get that far in short time. A very nice set up. Another nice set of hemi valve covers. Got to get me a set of those. Indy’s?

It’s a fun challenge to get a Hemi into an A body. Although you can use a torque wrench on every header bolt. TTI headers. Can’t do that with a wedge.

My condolences over your loss and also your personal illness. On the bright side you’re getting better and the Hemi is back together, soon to go in.

Thinking wife cannot compete with the magnetism coming off that hemi. Should be shaking the foundation sometime Sunday. Last time I drove it, back in September it was a blast. Stage3 shared a load of info on making these 770’s work and they sure do. But. Driving down the street you have...

Not so much a clone Hemi Dart

Best thing you did was pull it apart and make it right. Or perhaps the very best thing was when you dble checked the weight when the 2nd crank came back. Together and back in place by the weekend? ;) Had mine running today. Sure running terrific after a load of work and changes on the 770’s...

All good upgrades. Are you going to street drive this? If so I’m interested to see how the meziere pump set up works. I also put my limiters where you did. Nice to see it all back together!

    Just got this 68 dart

I think that if it were me I’d keep the glass fenders, build the gaps right on them and remove the GT emblems. You could decal the scoop if there’s a hemi under the hood. Just my $.02, it looks good as it is now too, nothing wrong with that healthy wedge neither.

That’s a great car to start with. The hemi is a fun challenge. Right side shock tower rework and master cylinder up and over. Looking froward to following along.

    572 Pump gas Hemi

I know one thing. If I had an extra solid cam & lifter set up that was good and I liked it, sure as hell I’d be using it.

    68 Dart Project.

Haha. Sometimes a guy needs to take a break. I’d imagine that it’s probably a good thing when a guy can do that. You’ll be back at it soon enough.

    68 Dart Project.

Countach, without digging into the thread I assume you mean making a pass with the hood latch and no pins? I’ll make sure i know what you mean before I blah blah blah. I sure like the struts on my Dart though. I’ve installed a set on a buddies A body drag car now too. He loves them, no more...

    Tailpipes with mini tub

Now there’s a work of art right there! Thanks for sharing!

    Tailpipes with mini tub

The pipes look good on the outside of the rail. I raised my spare tire donut 2” which allowed room to keep the pipes tucked up tight and no visible donut hanging below the bumper.

    Tailpipes with mini tub

Yeah you’d have to sneak through between the leaf spring and frame rail to the outside and then turn back towards the rear bumper. My friend has his that way in 4” though, I think he may have had to massage the tank a little to get by. Once I seen his 4” my new 3” came off and I got busy.

    Tailpipes with mini tub

Those are 4” DynoMax RaceBullets. Takes a little more bark out of it so instead of setting off most alarms with 2 mufflers, some are set off with 4.

Not so much a clone Hemi Dart

I don’t have the part number, there’s no markings on it but I’ve got a picture. It’s 1/2” thick. The 1250 worked best with 93 main and .028 high speed jets @ 32 degrees. It’s surprising to see what spacers do. This reversion or shear plate worked like a damn on the Barton while a super...

Not so much a clone Hemi Dart

I have to agree with you. My Barton I port matched and spent time at the plenum rounding the short radius’s. Was sceptical running the 1250 but it handled it ok. My best was with 32 degrees, very minimal drop from 34 degrees, 1 or 2 HP only. All my runs were also running stinky 91 octane...

Congratulation! You’re already past the hopeful 800. And I bet there’s still more in it, just ran short on time. Unfortunate to hear about the cross ram issues. EXCELLENT!

    572 Pump gas Hemi

I’m watching with interest and waiting for your dyno numbers 68. My 572 is real close to you guys so I’ll throw my dyno sheet into the works too. I’m 11-1. Victors and a solid roller. My dyno work was done with a single Dominator and Barton intake on 91 octane.

What size front runners are the hemi shoot out ss cars using.

I’m not sure about the Hoosier 28”, they may clear because they are more rounded, but my 28” MT SR radials were catching, they have a more square edge too though. In my case I had to make a gradual pie cut on the front edge. At the bottom I cut an approx. 5/8” pie that went up about 6.5”...

    572 Pump gas Hemi

Some nice numbers for it being pump gas and cross ram. Any port work done to the heads or intake?
