    hmmm.... so you mean that the close to 15 AFR is not too lean ? I pulled my plugs last week and the plugs were whitish... could be lean mixture..or a too hot spark . So I changed the plugs, form Autolite 65 to a colder NGK BP6ES equals a Champion N 9YC like the "old" HC engines used...

    x2 the ede performer intake will accept spread and square bore carbs. You only have to look for a good base gasket. BTW the runners are o.k for a 318cui....340 intake ports are bigger ... 360 ? not sure

    hmmm my PCV sits in the driverside valve cover... and the airfilter is connected to the passenger side VC . The snorkel of the air cleaner shows to the drivers side... the engine is a 340 cui also.. Greetings Juergen

    dropping SB oil pan in car

    ..ok speaking about my E body... the center link has to be removed...and I had to raise the engine just a little to get the clearance to REMOVE the oil pan..My eninge is a 340 also... so I think the work is the same.. Hope that helps.. BTW... when you remove the Oil pan.. install the timing...
