The GT had a exclusive stripe for 1969. Can get that from most reproduction vendors. White, black, or red were the only three colors available in 1969.

My 340 pulled 298 at the rear wheels at 6000 rpm. And it is stock. Even less than stock as I run about a point under the OE compression rating. 9.5:1 today vs. 10.5:1 factory

I have several euro 1969 GTS's in the GTS Registry but no 1968's. The '69 Euro VIN drops the "LS23P" from the VIN so it shows 9B155555 (for instance-not a real VIN) instead.

Looks like some type of front end damage was repaired. The drivers fender is a different shade of gold. Also, it mentions "mostly original paint". Might of had a small fender-bender in its history, but looks darn original from here.

I have that '68 GTS in the GTS Registry. The owner was told that it was a dealer installed stripe. :oops: The fender tag calls for the horizontal stripe. Which is on there and correct for the car. That gosh awful bumble bee, however, is a previous owner add-on. I can NOT imagine a dealer...
