Update, this was awhile back for sure, before I had any clue what I was doing, and i still probably don't, but whatever lol. I think I ended up flushing the heads with diesel after letting them soak in degreaser, and shortly after removed one of the heads to check the cylinder walls and pistons...

Yes, they are the exact same length. Just these have solid ball tips at the end with no oiling hole, while the originals had a half circle kind of point, with the oiling hole. And nope, no Coronet here

I guess I should have mentioned this before, but first start up with the new chain was 60psi cold. And was the same everytime it started cold until I finally changed the pushrods. The oil psi drop happened when I changed the pushrods.

I did not, but I hear no rattling noises other than a loose exhaust hangar that likes to rattle at certain rpm's, lol

Nylon crap was flushed out with diesel through the pan when the timing cover was off, and i flushed any remaining diesel with good oil.

Also had me confused lol. But for the record ive been running it like this for atleast 2 months now, and other than that pesky carb hesitation, its giving me no reason to believe that there are other issues. I was just purely curious about the oil pressure

1987 w150, 318la, factory intake. Used to be lean burn, and the old (new) carb had a couple electrical hookups that a run of the mill holley doesnt.

I know of a couple in my area, if only you lived closer. +1 on LMC, what they make is good stuff.

Awhile back my 318la (87 truck block) jumped a timing chain, and bent 9 pushrods. The old pushrods were the oil thru type, the rockers have the drain holes for them aswell. Needed a set quick and the local parts house had factory length mellings, but they didnt not have the oil holes in them...

SS's are bolt in, atleast in my 73 dart they were. And yes, they ride kinda rough on the street but I wouldn't call it horrible.

I use the green stuff that mixes with anything, 50/50 mix with concentrate and tap water. There's guys in my area that use pure tap water in the summer

Nope. No vacuum leaks, i've narrowed it down to accel pump nozzle size. A local racer has some he's going to let me try this weekend if all goes well. Edit: Secondary diaphragm springs too
