You have the timing gear on correctly and the oil slinger? If it lined up before, it should now unless you changed something or the dampener is not really all the way on.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right, grab a friend and a flywheel holding tool and torque it to spec. They have torque specs for a reason. Is it too far out or too far in?

All right got home pulled the rod and piston, it does have the correct part number, it does not stand out as clear as the other rods but shining a flashlight at it from an angle I could see the numbers. Side by side with another rod, it looks to be the same dimensions, width wise and thickness...

Compared to a new rod. The info I found on a stock 340 rod tells me that mine lost around 10 grams when they were balanced.
