Swapped a Slant to a 360 in a 64 Dart, pretty easy and straightforward especially for a beginner. Ask plenty of questions and since you say you are financially able to have a project, spend wisely so that you can do it right the first time, will save money and headaches in the long run.

I just replaced an eddy1406 with a Holley 4777 and couldn't be happier. Car runs better with the Holley than it ever did with the eddy. Running a 360 with stock heads an lunati 288/.480 cam. Holley is the way to go IMO. More adjustability than the edelbrock/carter, I feel.

Will read the plugs when I get out of work today. Drove it in and jetted up to 69's on primary side on lunch, and it drove a little better!!!! Might go to 71 primary 73 secondary and see what that does. Right now the hesitation is minimized and idle is down to about 1000rpm and more stable.
