Right I know its externally balanced. I never heard someone mention or say using a zero balance converter with this flex plate on a 360. Want to make sure before putting it all back together. Thanks.

I got this flex plate for my 73 Duster with a 360 and someone I was talking to said this flex plate is used with a zero balance converter. My question do I have to use a zero balance converter or can I still use my one with the weight on it?

That basically looks like what mine is doing. I have a temp gun but battery is dead so haven't been able to read Temps.

I removed the regulator I had in it and I have the edelbrock fuel line off the carb that looks like an L that comes out from under the choke it has a port to thread in an in line pressure gauge

So the tank I put in looks like this. That port on top that I thought was a vent started leaking gas out if it when I filled it up. So I think that was for a return line and not a vent thats why I put a cap over it so I wasn't leaking gas. It looks more like what you slip the rupper hose over...

This was a working transmission I needed to change the output shaft and was gonna replace other parts as needed.

I did try that and it still shot air out that hole I can try it again I may have had something not set up right

Ok maybe I assemble it in the case and test it again?

I havent changed the seals on it yet I was trying to test it. I changed the clutches and steels that was about it when I found that hole trying to test it

Putting my 727 together and went to air check the front clutch before putting it back in the case. Noticed it was leaking air by and not engaging the clutches. Found it Is blowing air out of a hole ok the back of the clutch drum I can cover the hole with my finger and it engages like it should...

No I think thats a B not an 8. Only other thing I know about this transmission was it was built by Keith hershberger from woodburn Oregon.

Trying to look up the information on my 727 to get the date it was built. Can't find anything with what's on the transmission or if someone els stamped it.

I'll give the oil a look. And I'm hoping it's just a converter or the pump or input seal.
