Update and a few new photos. Been a slow go this summer so far.....I really am dragging my feet on wiring I just don't like it, feels like a real hurdle. I did however get all my brake lines bent flared and installed. New steering wheel and a pretty sweet shifter from Kilduff. Still picking away...

My custom console is almost done

Are those the 11" shifters? Or the daddy long legs? I intend on ordering myself but I have a split bench so I would like to not have to reach too far your look to be a good length.

    Project Big Block 74

Well it's been awhile again since my last update. Slow progress lately as I tinker away as time is available. Got all my fuel lines, pump, filters and return lines built and ran used a company called Hot Rod Fuel hose went with braided ptfe and 8an front to back. Pleased with those I ordered...

    Is bigger better ?

My 500 inch engine made 643hp and 645ftlbs through 1-3/4 hedmans, while I agree bigger would be better at your power levels I wouldn't worry too much.

    Return line fuel restriction?

I have also found a nutsert style made that looks like a good solution For sure my old tank had lots of **** in the bottom

    Return line fuel restriction?

I'm thinking this may be the easiest answer has anyone used a fitting like this rather than welding or brazing to attach bungs into a fuel tank? Nutsert style 6 an better than 1/4" at least

    Return line fuel restriction?

Doesn't sound like a bad idea if going that route maybe I should put another fitting down low on the tank for pump feed and do away with the sending unit altogether seems the only thing they do well is read fuel level inaccurately

    Return line fuel restriction?

Yes it's new never had fluid in it I can weld I've never brazed

    Return line fuel restriction?

I was intending to use a 3/8 tubing to 6an connector and then step it up to the 8an. I will put the last filter before the regulator and give this a try hopefully it works.

    Return line fuel restriction?

My tank has the vent at the top above the sending unit also 1/4" but is part of the tank rather than the sending unit. What I am talking about is indeed the return line to the best of my limited knowledge.

    Return line fuel restriction?

I suppose I can give it a try and see how it acts. Or I could just cap that dinky return line and run the return into a bung in the filler neck or something.

    Return line fuel restriction?

I've been doing some reading and cannot seem to find a straight answer..if there is one. Plumbing in my fuel system: from the tank I have 3/8 to 8an through 100 micron filter holley black pump 140gph through regulator then 35 micron filter to carb. On the return is where my question lies I have...

    Engine install from below?

Cart and engine hoist worked great for me. Lifted right off the front bumper there isn't much weight up front when it's bare. This thread was paramount to my decision of installing this way. Works great give it a go I won't go in from the top ever again!!

    Stabbing engine and trans?

I just did mine by myself from the bottom everything together engine transmission headers on..I don't think I would ever do it any other way ever again!! I'm sure others will agree, it's by far the easiest and best way to do it especially by yourself with no help.

    Project Big Block 74

Transmission had the 19 spline shaft so had to get it switched out for a 24 spline so my converter would match up. Well got that figured out and got it all mated together starter on headers on and it's all installed in the car!! Happy moment it's been a long time since this car sat on its own...

    440 Source Head Opinions?

I'm skeptical of the validity of this information as well. If the Source heads only produced 15 more..the eddys 15 more again and then a cnc ported trick flow only 45 more than stock must be the crappiest cnc job in history thats pretty expensive hp in my opinion. Not exactly a good sales pitch...

    Project Big Block 74

Well I just made a **** ton of room putting my rad in front of the core support, the last photo is the little room I had to work with mounted in behind. I guess if the contour fans don't keep it cool I will have lots of room for a clutch fan setup. Before you all give me hell over it you should...

Got my 60 back built with some goodies from Dr Diff went with 3:54s and a Suretrac from Dr Diff similar to a Detroit truetrac but has 6 worm gears as opposed to 4 in the truetrac I hope it's a good piece. Installed a summit disc brake kit on it and some 9 way adjustable calvert shocks. Thing are...

The goodies keep showing up must say I'm impressed with the look of the welds and the overall quality of this Cold Case 26"rad. It appears to look like it will drop right with some very minimal clearancing.

    Project Big Block 74

It's been awhile since my last post recently sold my Harley so I have a good budget to dump on the car now. Rear end should be ready next week had a Dana 60 narrowed to spec fully rebuilt with a true trac went with a 3:54 gearing so I should be able to cruise the highway a bit.Disc brake kit for...
